It doesn't really work like that chap.
Its not like re-enactment where there are hundreds of people who form groups with kit lists etc.
It really works like this...
Everyone is a wwii airsofter and they all individually decide what their favourite look or regiment and copies that.
Then site owners or separate organisations (like ourselves at cia) announce they are putting on a game and state the theme.
You either sign up for whatever side your chosen loadout fits and if your choice isnt represented most people buy a second loadout for that game, sopme of us get carried away and buy a uniform for each game
But there are no airsoft re-enactment groups as such. You just do whatever you want to portray.
The nearest thing we have is a group of guys who have all chosen to represent 9th ss hohenstaufen but its not a group or society as such its more like a loose band of players.
Nothing to stop you starting your own group but i think a fair few people into this type of gaming are into it so they can escape the confines of 're-enactment groups'
I know i'm not in any groups as i dont really want to have to abide by somebody elses rule set regards kit for a hobby.
I'm sure as the aspect of the sport gets bigger some dedicated groups might emerge but at the moment its very much a case of do whatever you like and fit yourself into a game.

Hi Stew
As Gadge says, WW2 airsofting is different from reenacting/living history insofar as there are no strictly organised groups or associations. Having said that, a few of the players on this forum are working towards GD impressions as well as SS ones - 9th Hohenstauffen and LAH included.
Like Gadge, one of the things that attracts me to this hobby is that I can indulge my interest in 'recreating/reenacting' an historical impression, but without having to conform too rigidly to someone else's dictats regarding precisely what I can and cannot wear - so in that way, it can be a bit more relaxed and more FUN -
Notwithstanding, there are a lot of knowledgeable contributors to the forum who will be more than willing to share their experience etc. with you -
That having been said the 9th ss Hohenstaufen are in the process of forming a group with a proper squad structure, you're welcome to join us if you want and kit yourself out as an ss man and I'll send you some details, also Steiner is the man to contact if you're interested in the wehrmacht (Gross Deutschland Division impression), you could PM him for some details, if you want to. I think these things will eventually develop further, given a bit a time, but its still early days yet for this hobby
Don't forget the Fallschirmjager.
First and Only Airsoft!!
I've only seen you and scott so far!
