For my officers impression looking for some jackboots, I presume that these are much higher than marching boots, any suggestions on a cheap look (wont be in officers uniform much)

I just brought a pair of well worn leather riding boots off ebay, cost me about £15 I think. :good:

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

Not sure what size you are, but cheap old leather riding boots on ebay are hard to find these days, unless you are a midget or a giant..
I am a size 43 or size nine, the most common size.
For officer load outs I bought an ex East German pair of boots that look like officer field boots with buckles at the top and slightly larger carves, also a pair of old high leg riding boots.. They look great with the load outs and are just what I was looking for, however they certainly won't cost you £15.00.
Unless you go for modern rubber riding boots which you can buy quite cheaply, you are looking at £60.00 to £75.00 a pair, even for old ones.. I was bidding on any suitable pairs for over two months until I found my pairs.. Unless I was very unlucky when I was looking, it is not as easy as Boshman has said.. However Boshman has far more experience that me.. But my recent experience has been very different..
Good luck..

Cheers Chris

Yes I know what you mean, been looking and surprised at how many were for kids or ladies. However luckily I fit a size 8 (42) and there are several on The Bay that Im watching. Normally for airsoft I try to go for a 9 to allow for an extra pair of socks on cold socials, but not seen any suitable in that size so guess I will go for an 8 :good:

One size down will save you possibly £35-£40... I was astonished what people pay... There must be a load of guys out there looking to do a ww2 german officer load outs.. OR.... something similar (in a strange/kinky way), if you know what I mean..
Hoping to see you at the "Corridor of death"...
