The left textured helmet was already textured when I got it, I just painted over it, got the tan chinstrap off ebay,

How did you get the textured effect on the left helmet Steve? I tried mixing sand in with my paint, but it didnt work too well.

It was cork that was originally used to texture.
A few wine corks in a blender does the trick apparently, although I can't confirm this!
