So my fellow American lovelies, perhaps I may be able to tempt you all with a exquisite slice of 'action!' at the upcoming Devil's Hill game.

It sounds like a wonderful weekend of fun, and yet my fun is only half wonderfulised is all of you charming, witty, erudite US players that I so love fighting and drinking alongside are not present.

So 'come forth' I say, and join the Glider Infantry. Make my weekend, and spoil the Huns! :D Who's with me?

Yes, there's loads of space available for US troops both PIR and GIR!

I'm booked in and ready for it!

A month to go guys! It would be nice to see a few more yanks. This is the first ever CiA game of "Yanks vs Germans" and we need your support to make it happen.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

I was just wondering what people's thoughts were on the lack of US interest? Mine are:

1. Lack of Dog Comp - nuff said, I don't want to open that can of worms, but they are a sizeable force and their numbers are clearly missed.
2. Too far North - for me its nice to have a game more or less on my door step, but is it too far for the southern players?
3. Lack of US games - has this led to players selling their US gear for other loadouts?

It just seems strange that when a US Para game comes along, there is no interest!

Sure Dog Company are a size able force in WWII airsoft term but there must be tons of other US players out there. US Airborne is still one of the most popular impressions. Who knows why these people aren't booking on.

2. Too far North - for me its nice to have a game more or less on my door step, but is it too far for the southern players?

Undoubtedly a factor but there is no doubt some more northen based players like yourself who are glad to have such a local game. Perhaps the Southern softies are afraid to travel too far into the wild North? Maybe they need more convincing that the trip is worth it?

3. Lack of US games - has this led to players selling their US gear for other loadouts?

There has only been 2 games this year that haven't allowed US Players (discounting the cancelled Dukla)- Freshman and Boryszyn. All others have allowed US kit, even if only Dragroon was US specific. Some might have done (there has ben alot of US in the for sale section) but surely not that many?

Its a puzzler for sure but it could be any number of factors. Maybe they're all skint, maybe they're too hung up on getting their kit right, maybe they're all badged as 101st and don't want to re/unbadge to go 82nd. Who knows! :slap:

One is already booked in, so only 2 more from us - leaves us 2 short!

Dog Co have said that they don't block boycott CiA games. They are a group made up of individual players who decide themselves which games they want to attend.

2. Too far North - for me its nice to have a game more or less on my door step, but is it too far for the southern players?

Yes, this is a loooong way away for anyone south of the Watford Gap. FI Steiner is looking at a minimum 5 hours each way. That's also a line item in terms of game cost. I worked out that the petrol alone was more expensive than flying there on BMI :?

3. Lack of US games - has this led to players selling their US gear for other loadouts?

Nah, people sell up either because they need the money or because they want out of the hobby in general.

It just seems strange that when a US Para game comes along, there is no interest!

Yup, we live in strange times

Hi all, No can of worms to open. Most of Dog Co. is in Spain working on a new movie. I'm stuck working on that weekend. Major pity really.

:good: Good on them. So Rich, Craig, when are we (The Doughboys) getting movie work in southern Spain, or anything anywhere nicer than Rotherham or Barnsley.

I have my brother's 30th Birthday to attend. So i cant make it, and as Pat has mentioned most of our group is away in Spain filming until mid November. So some of us remaining members are taking the time to pursue other genre's.

So no boycotting here.
