Airsoft to be legalised in the Netherlands?

Today we wish to report historical news in Dutch history. After 7 years of hard work, perseverance and consult with various parties, the Dutch Association of Interests Airsoft finally redeeming words for anyone who is dear to our sport:
AIRSOFTAPPARATEN ARE POSSIBLE WITHIN THE LEGAL FRAMEWORK IN THE NETHERLANDS
Wednesday, February 16, 2011 is one day by all of us for the rest of our lives and far beyond will be known as the day that the Airsoftsport a place has been in the Netherlands.
At the initiative of PVV, VVD, CDA and PvdA one has called for Justice Minister Fred Teeven a possibility of establishing possession of airsoftapparaten permit in the Netherlands.
There will be an appropriate legal framework which should make for airsoftapparaten hands. We will in the near future, committed to the interests of airsoftsport herein to represent.
This does not mean immediately airsoftapparaten legal in the Netherlands. There must of course laws and rules are drafted. That this will happen now for sure!
It breaks us all a very busy time. There must be an awful lot will also be regulated to our solid foundation to build on for the future of our sport.
We thank everyone for the support given in recent years. We also hope for your support over the next year, will be as beautiful years!

Excellent news. I've always thought of Holland as being, in many other respects, quite a sensible and level-headed place, so let's hope something meaningful comes of it and that the decision isn't reversed

Very, very good indeed. I work with a lot of Dutch guys in the Oil industry and I inadvertantly gave them the airsoft bug by taking them to a few games in the UK while working here!

They were quite put out when they found it wasn't legal in their country...
