Been on my mind since I went there first, the area is really good for defenders to make a good stand and fight off opposition for ages, going to be serious casualties on the alied side, but the Germans will have the chance on day 2 to get the places back as long as they follow thier commander :) Lots of dirty deeds by the Islanders to thwart the Germans with sheep aplenty :)
I will look at your scenario for Operation Sealion see if it has any tips :)

I just got back from Bangor, which is close Anglesey and am always happy for a reason to head to the area. Would most likely go, depending on date and driver, but a weekend thing over the summer (read: before next term) would be pretty sure for us three chappies.

This sounds like a cracker matey and Im putting together a group of Kriegsmarine that would fit like a glove into this senario.I have 5-6 september and would make the journey if its going ahead. Might be worth setting up a similar thread on the Gunman forum too taffy.

may i suggest that the allies defend, not the germans, surely a landing on foriegn soil is about advance and conquer, not defending positions. the germans would not have invaded and stopped. the allies didnt on d-day .even advance paratroop landing would have had a mobile element to cause confusion. ( and besides, the german players hardly ever get to go on the offensive, let them have some fun for a change :good: ) just an idea...........

I have 5-6 september

That date is the "Victory Show", one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) WWII re-enactment events in the calendar. It'd probably be a bad idea to clash with it.
