Airsoft Warehouse were selling MP40's for £65 +p&p but don't have any left now the last order they got in was seized and crushed by customs they have told me they will not be selling anymore :x

http://www.airsoftwarehouse.co.uk/acata ... a_AEG.html

Also the Kart M14 is now out of production but Cyma are now making the M14 maybe they will make a better job on the gearbox.

That doesnt sound entirely truthful to me. Legitimate business, who can prove their credentials having stuff crushed? Why hasnt this happened to Land Warrior, Airsoftworld.net, ActionHobbys etc etc etc?

They told me this does happen from time to time and they are getting their compensation, maybe it is just a way of keeping the number of retailers down even though it costs customs money.
I don't think it was just MP40's by the sound of it, ring them if you want to know more.

However when I rang them yesterday I spoke to a different guy and he seemed to think they were getting more in and told me to ring towards the end of the week.
But when I rang today this bloke said the MP40's were crushed a while a go and they are not getting anymore now.

Ive had my Tm thompson for about 5 years and it still shoots better than most other AEGs I know, wouldnt trade it for Cyma 1, especially after playing with Speirs' 1 at Husky :|

I found the Cyma much better than a TM out the box it only seems like the finish is not so good being painted. Stock TM only 280fps Cyma 350 fps much more range also metal gears and a barrel web Mr Web

What was wrong with his at husky?

If my TM had not been upgraded it would stay at home.

You used my old one mate, it needs work dong to it, I knew that even before you told me.

If you'd tried my new one on the 2nd day then you might've been a bit happier I can honestly say I've been very happy with both of them.

Tm 1 shoots further and more accurately that the Cyma 1, (even why 5 years old) just because its doing 280 doesnt mean it can be out-performed... TM 1 sounds a lot nicer too, whereas the Cyma 1 is quite cracky and Chinese gearbox-soudy hehe.

I only know that 5 years old and still going strong can't be bad.

TBH, TM/Cyma. doesnt realy matter. most ppl will upgrade to a wood furniture kit anyways for that extra WOO factor, and externaly i didnt notice a diffrence between mine a TM apart from trades of course. accuracy wise the cyma shoots like a lazer. deadly accurate and the hop up system is by far the best ive seen for a long time. Cyma stock thompsons are a real piece of work.

You have a rare one then hold on to it 8)

Most TM's shoot junk out the box in comparison with the Cyma Ste D has a number of TM's he spends about £100 on top to get them to perform properly.

"Most TM's shoot junk out of the box"?

Sure, they might not be the most powerful Airsoft guns out of the box, but the simple fact is that they work out of the box - and provided you dont fuck around with them, they tend to carry on working for a very long time. I have seen duds from every other manufacturer - CA, ICS, G&G, VFC, King Arms etc etc. I have yet to see this with a TM.

I have an out-of-the box TM Tommy that I've not had to touch in 5 years use. It's deadly accurate and I've never felt the need to upgrade. You just need to up your game.

Yes but if you take them to a standard game you will be out ranged by a £70 Cyma hire gun

They are still good but not the best of the 2 in terms of performance, and the performance is what counts most of the time, other wise use a blow pipe.

No, I wouldn't agree. I'd say that intelligent and and tactical play will always be a more effective weapon that a gun with a few more metres range. If you prefer to blat across open ground then yes, range will be a factor, but IMHO that's not an enjoyable way to play.

Well I am talking about a gun not a person end of story :D
Back to real thread.

Don't know how true this is or if you've mentioned it already but i think TM imports are now banned due to the high lead content of their products (well to high for our country anyway!) So we might not have the TM thompson when stocks run out!

Has anyone else heard this?

Sam

Maybe there is too much lead in their gear sets if they put steel Cyma ones in we may still be able to get them.

Most games I have played in range always counts at some time in the day the difference between 280 and 350 could be as much as 30ft at a guess (never had a tape measure handy during the fire fight), at least that is the range increase I got when my TM was upgraded to about 350 or a bit less.
Before the upgrade I found every time I fired first at an easy target that didn't seem far away my shots would fall short and I was then dead, quite often just to some kid with a Chinese hire gun.

A stock TM will sound quieter probably due to its lack of power and soft alloy gears.
I myself don't use a Cyma in games but I do have one I occasionally lend out and it seems to work fine.
It could be that the shimming and grease is not up to scratch in the Cyma I haven’t heard much about the gearbox internals.
Has anyone heard of a barrel snapping off on a Cyma?

Anyone who says that up to 30 ft more range isn't an advantage is lying to himself or herself!

However it could just be that at the time I bought my TM Thompson and the 4 months later when my friend also bought one and all the ones he has bought since then over the last 4 years, that on the days they were made the quality control was not up to scratch and they tuned out some duds.

Anyway this has gone on long enough if you like low power and a quiet gun stick with it life is to short and I have other things to think about! :good:

have got 2 x TM's and had 2 x CYMA's the cymas were shooting 370 out of box and far more accurate, it just depends on the batches of them i would think, the TMs though a bit underpowered are still great guns, am about to mod one in to a 1928 :-).

lets hope the Chinese maufacturers keep em coming!!!!! :good:

When I was at Airsoft armouries yesterday, one of the blokes there was saying that they are expecting the MP44 in some time early next year. Also some type of clone gas KAR 98, possibly DBOYI, and a Springer KAR98. the KAR ,he said migt be either a clone of the Tanaka or the present marushin one ,but without the shells. the moulds for the funky MG34 that we have been waiting for apparently have been siezed along with the thompson and MP40's. of course I can't confirm or deny any of this, Guess it will be a case of wait and see.

Like so many other rumours, take it and I'll supply the salt
