Hello all. I'm a member of the mvt and my membership card was enough defence for soldier of fortune to sell me a sten.

I've also been after an mp40 but all UK sellers are out of stock and I have been recommended a Polish store. Does anyone have any experience with customs that will know if an mvt membership is adequate to get the gun through?

Regards,

Ralph

From AI magazine....

Since October 2007 you can only buy a realistic imitation firearm (one that looks like a real gun) if you meet one of the following conditions:

You must be over 18 years of age to buy either a realistic or an imitation firearm.
You are an airsofter with membership of an insured skirmish site.
You are a member of a properly insured historical re-enactment group or society. Γ’β‚¬β€œ Historical re-enactors also include living history associations such as the military vehicles trust. You will need to prove membership.

However there was a bit of discussion on this a few years back on here http://www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/php/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15922
As usual it is a grey area. Ever thought of joining AFRA ? http://www.afra.org.uk/
