In line with Chommers recent muse regarding 'do we spend too much on kit we don't use ?', I wondered if anybody was interested in this -

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/rare-WW2-British- ... 414a0edf20

I tell you what I'll do you a nice repro set for just £400... Sounds fair to me!

I wonder if this is eBay having a bit of a glitch. I wanted to buy a book yesterday, which usually retails at £16.50, but on eBay someone was asking for £99.99 under 'buy it now', which seemed odd.

No these really are pretty rare and that one is in good condition. So the seller may really want that much.

They're not that rare, surely?

Agreed... they're not that rare. The seller may think he can get that much, but he's sorely mistaken!

Omfg, what an utter knob! Perhaps he means 1200 Hong Kong dollars? If anyone is stupid enough to pay those sort of prices for a piece of webbing, they deserve to get ripped off by arseholes on Ebay!

Check the q+a section at the bottom of the page lol

"Q: Hi, i think you've put two extra zeroes on the price, i'm assuming you meant £8.50?
A: Hahaha, I understand your reaction, but the other one I had sold for $1200 couple of years ago. Cheers, Mike"

Yeah, that'd be me.

Nice one DM. :good:

Have you seen the prices he's asking for his other items as well? AND he's got the cheek to charge silly postage on top AND say he's not responsible for the item after he's posted it! I also wonder why he doesn't take paypal? My guess, to prevent people clawing back payments after non-delivery, or when they realise they've been conned!
