Thank you for the offer of assistance with costs, but that isn't necessary. Time is much more valuable and there is precious little of it, so if anyone is Facebook savvy AND is prepared to put time and effort into promoting other people's events, then I'm sure we can come to some arrangement.

However, Facebook is pretty poor for game promotion - you have to be in the loop to know anything about a game as web searches don't work (but does for web sites and forums). Also, you will waste a huge amount of time answering questions that have already been asked and answered, and it only takes three people chatting to give the illusion there is a deal of interest in a game. As a repository of information FB is pants (it was never designed to be this) whereas on this forum you can find information on every game that has been run since 2006 and every conceivable question and answer about kit.
At some point there will be something better than FB, which at the moment is best as a repository for selfies, whining about current affairs, pointless 'liking' or dishing out personal abuse. :giggle: That is why there are still forums, indeed this forum.

The website is currently set up to post game information directly to the FB page but I gave up posting games on the website as organisers didn't provide materials for game promotion - but the website and FB page referenced the forum, as that is where all the detail is anyway.
