This is the biggest problem for me when it comes to open day gaming. I just find it really hard to get involved in anything other than blatting because I don't really give a shit about anyone else there. I don't feel any team spirit 'cos the teams are so fragmented - plus the appointed leaders always seem to be the M249 (brother in the Air Force) types or else fake "alpha males" who presumably have posters of Ross Kemp in their bedrooms.

Sure. At the very least you know who you're supposed to be shooting at and at best you are playing with a bunch of guys (and gals) you already know from the forum.
