Today I applied dubbin to three pairs of boots. Perfect dubbin weather - soaks in and disappears. 8)

Skirmished at Xsite and had a load out which conisted of 4 Highcaps 2 Mini high caps 5 King arms midcaps and a TM standard magazine. 12 Mags which is normally a bit low for me. (as i am still repairing cleaning 2 highcaps) Had a good old shoot and found out that the "inner core" of para cord, is not acceptable to be used in my Blowback thompson modification.

Redubbined my boots today. 30 seconds per boot to do it. Stick can of dubbin on hot stove until liquified, then use a paintbrush. Doesnt get any quicker than that...

Wondered if my boots had dried out from last weekend so I could polish them.

Cheers

Last of my kit went up in the attic on Saturday after I caught my 2 year old chasing her sister around the garden with a K98 bayonet (fortunately still sheathed)

Luckily the missus is away, and as no children were harmed I still have plausible deniability 8)

Tidied everything up... washed the mud off the inside and outside of the car... Sanded down and applied to the first coat of wood stain to my M1 carbine stock (and my fingers)... Replaced the pump washer in my Primus (didn't help it work any better, might be a leak somewhere else)... got all my far east kit that needs washing and put in in the middle of the floor for next week.

Found out why my boots hadn't dried yet - they still had my wet socks in them. :(

My memory jogged by these recent posts, I remembered that I still had Stu's wet kit in a binbag in the garage! His boots look like "Ugg" boots and everything is drip drying on the line as I type! :slap: Smells good too! : sick :

Stripped and re-greased my 1911. Seems it picked up a fair amount of dirt under the slide and aroumd the safety. Going to give the barrel a coat of teflon spray too.

Had to take apart my new thompson hicap as it wasn't feeding. Turns out a tiny bit of rust on a gear was jamming it up.

Make sure you check your dates Alex! It's already looking busy next year. I'm sure Chommers can give you access to the organisers section if he hasn't already.

No worries, I'll PM when it looks a bit more certain. From the looks of it though...EXCELLENT site.

What happened?

If you need stencils have you tried Noosta Stencils? http://www.noostadirect.com/

You tell them what you want and if they haven't already got it then they'll make it in to a stencil for you, very reasonable prices and speedy delivery.

Taken my money, and not supplied the goods. Got two options of getting my cash back. Quite tempted by the quicker of the two options...
