Got round to doing the AK hop mod and fitting a tight bore barrel to my MP40 :happyswing:
Also finished off some bits to my Kar98 after fitting a new piston and sear, it all seems to be working properly now :happydance:

Shot a lot of 'modern' airsofters at a local open day! It's always nice to kill someone with all the bells and whistles hanging off every part of their gun and kit wearing the WW2 stuff :good:

Finished building my G3 SBS (not very WW2 I know but, I've always wanted one!). Also, have booked (as a surpise for the wife) some Argentine Tango lessons!

Edit - Today, I also celebrated a week since I quit smoking! :happyclap:

Is that Tango lessons for you, or for her, Pete? :giggle:

Well done for quitting the fags - just think how much kit and guns you can buy with what you're saving! :D

For both of us really! Have you ever SEEN an Argentine Tango? It's basically a prelude to hanky panky!

NB I would suggest not wearing ammo boots or jackboots otherwise it's more likely to be a prelude to casualty.

I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.

Repairing and rebuilding the front end of my Thompson, after the front end snapped off during the Volturno Affiar game.
It's CYMA based and it didn't break in the 'usual' place for Thompsons, as I have a nice full-steel 1928 front end - instead the 'barrel-to-reciever' spiggot shattered (seemingly under the pressure of the barrel grubscrew) and the remaining screw-threads holding the front end on stripped (primarily due to the screws being far to short for the job).
A new full-steel spiggot insert has been machined and inserted into the receiver (which has had the remains of the old spiggot machined off), and I'm now sourcing replacement longer black M4 screws!

Finished painting my FJ hemet.

The colours seem s bit brighter than they actually are, may have been the matt varnish I applied was not quiet dry.

Spoke to the person I just bought my new Soviet tally cap from and found out it is a reproduction as I suspected. Why they are reproducing the cold war version when there are so many around I don't know. Anyway I've asked them to make me a WWII pattern one to which they have agreed and say it will be ready in about 2-3 weeks. :happyswing: Hopefully it shouldn't cost much more than the one I just bough (for £25 posted).

Finally rebadged my red beret from Ox & Bucks Light Infantry* to South Staffs (incl "Holland cloth"), and changed my Sten sling from evil MP white to vanilla... whatever colour describes virgin webbing best.

*First to say why OBLI gets a sweetie. 8)

I'm more concerned about your virgin's webbing sling - is this a work-friendly subject?
