That looks brilliant, how long did it take/ much did it cost?

I conned myself that it was from scrap, so cost more than I planned for. I'm going to guess it will cost £60 for three boxes (paint, ropes, ironmongery, bracing wood). Unlike my other boxes which are facsimiles, these ones are more 'in the style of' and so look the part but fulfil a particular practical purpose.

Very kind of you Nige but I fear, as with most stuff I make with my hands, its a bodge job.
I'm too impatient - once I have had an idea and worked out a plan of execution then I rapidly lose interest as the practicality of construction unfolds.

After watching a TV program about self-build houses wifelet turned to me and said "Would you like to build your own house?". To which I relied "Yes I would but I don't think you or I would be happy with a house where nothing is ever more than 80% completed or is held together by hot glue or gaffa tape." She nodded and flipped the channel...

Bigger, wider and flashier than the Brit version, at a guess.

Get yourself some wooden flats, that which they load bricks and things like that on to...
Pull them apart and make them in to a box, don't bother painting it and don't put hinges on it...
Stamp which ever gun it has in it on the top in some snazzy stencils and there you have it.

In the days of instant communication one would think they could inform you quicker then a letter dated three days ago...
I want to 'play' in it before going to Wales.
