That looks brilliant, how long did it take/ much did it cost?

I conned myself that it was from scrap, so cost more than I planned for. I'm going to guess it will cost £60 for three boxes (paint, ropes, ironmongery, bracing wood). Unlike my other boxes which are facsimiles, these ones are more 'in the style of' and so look the part but fulfil a particular practical purpose.

nice work dave,,, there is joiner somewhere inside you longing to be set free. lovely job.
Very kind of you Nige but I fear, as with most stuff I make with my hands, its a bodge job.
I'm too impatient - once I have had an idea and worked out a plan of execution then I rapidly lose interest as the practicality of construction unfolds.
After watching a TV program about self-build houses wifelet turned to me and said "Would you like to build your own house?". To which I relied "Yes I would but I don't think you or I would be happy with a house where nothing is ever more than 80% completed or is held together by hot glue or gaffa tape." She nodded and flipped the channel...

( why am i laughing? i have built houses like that for the major building firms and they have sold them for millions!!! )
Thats because you're good at it Nige!
I'm thinking about making a gun crate for my guns, only snag is there isnt enough wood in the world to make 1 big enough! lol
Anybody know what a US 1 looks like?

Bigger, wider and flashier than the Brit version, at a guess. ![]()

Get yourself some wooden flats, that which they load bricks and things like that on to...
Pull them apart and make them in to a box, don't bother painting it and don't put hinges on it...
Stamp which ever gun it has in it on the top in some snazzy stencils and there you have it.
