Amusing report by the SS on the despair they faced by cocky Brits in captivity. Just goes to show you can be beaten in battle but not in spirit!

Plus ca change.

You've got to love the Brits abroad...

And at work for that matter.

I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.

Must be a hell of a commute to get from the midlands to a German factory every day.

What era?

Efficiently and with an excellent safety record, or are you forced to work until you collapse and die from starvation?

Cold war, early eighties. I'm forced to work efficiently until I collapse, but when I do, it's safely onto a crash mat.
