Hi there chaps, selling an m40 I recently acquired in a big job lot of gear as I can't see myself ever using it.
The coat itself is tailored from swedish wool and has the date 1940 with the swedish crown printed on the inside, the cut however is identical to the german m40 and the colour seems better than swedish tunics etc that I have seen. Whether the wool has been dyed partially or my eyes are being rubbish I cannot tell! Currently I have a pair of panzergrenadier green shoulderboards on there which of course are included. A brilliant coat all round and as there is no insignia can even be used this winter!
As such I'm not asking the world for it and am selling it for £40 if picked up at the gothic line or I can post for an additional fiver!

Doesnt say anywhere on the jacket itself, but im a medium build guy and in the pictures im wearing a large jumper underneath to simulate a tunic as my field greys are elsewhere. The size adjustment on the back is set to the smallest setting, with an estimated 4 inches loose material after all this.
Not the best description, I'll do some proper measurement tomorrow if you'd like
i'd definitely be interested but am a 46 chest ,if it has not sold and it fits i'll have it at gothic line,but if someone offers you reddy's before then let em have it.

It looks the same colour as my one. The size in mine is a Swedish '96' which fits a 40" chest well. Is there a Swedish size marking inside?

thanks for the tip there! Unfortunately the only markings on the inside of mine are the swedish crown with 1940 beneath and beneath that in larger print "108K"
Having finally found the tape measure today I can confirm that this is a loose size 40 chest on the smallest strap setting at the back and around a 42 with the strap at the largest. Should fit most medium to large people ok with a tunic beneath
