Welcome to D-Day events and Gunman Airsoftâ€™s WWII Battle weekend. August 1944 The outskirts of the Caen. After the defeated troops of hill 112 finally returned to their camps and so many lives lost, morale is not high in the British Second Army and the hill has remained operational and in German hands. After a series of failed attempts to crack the German sprit a huge bombardment of British artillery, navel guns and aerial bombing has pushed the German troops from the city centre to the north and west of the Caen. However this has left its roads blocked by ruble and craters which mean the infantry will not be getting support from their heavy and medium tanks. The town centre has become a series of infantry based close quarters battle to the last. Whoâ€™s flag will fly over whatâ€™s left of Caenâ€™s government centre by the Sunday and will the Allies be able to look at their foothold in Normandy as anything other than fractured.
