Training and D-Day warm up weekend

‘Operations’ 2008
Battle weekender, Tuddenham, Suffolk.
March 15-16
ONLY £35 for the whole weekend

Welcome to Gunman Airsoft ‘Operations’ IIWW Battle weekend

‘Operations’ is a social gathering for both sides to prepare for war and build up comradeship within the units. Set up for both Axis and Allies to practice their missions for Aprils ‘D-Day +2’ get to know and bond with your squads and have a bally good time is top of the list! 1940s Live music and a 1940s cinema will feature for the Saturday night shindig as well as a fully licence bar and hot food served as the mess.
The event will begin at 10am Saturday and finish at 4pm Sunday.

GUNMAN will be providing a number of marshal driven vehicles to be used in the game as well as field artillery, outposts, gun emplacements and the very best props and set dressings. GUNMAN is made up of experienced Live Action organisers that have been running professional events since 1993.

Both days will be filled with missions setting up the D-Day+2 event. For the purpose of making the event work the AXIS and ALLIED troops will shoot against each other, pretending that both sides are just soldiers from their own side using the enemies uniforms and weapons.

Marshals

The Marshall will be playing key roles during the battle weekend to help the refs and Games operations deliver a fluid, realistic weekend and help the players get the most out of the weekend. They will be able to keep in contact with the 1IC throughout the training so the units can co-ordinate attacks and defence.

Referees

Due to the size of the site and numbers taking part, there will be a high number of refs keeping an eye on the action, dealing with any issues be them in-game or out of game so you, the player can enjoy the experience. They will be dressed in period clothing but where and MP armband. Each ref will carry a radio, whistle and med pack for scratches and scrapes.

Radio Packs

GMA will be providing all the in game radios for the weekend in the form of backpack radios, carried by a radioman. No other radio communications will be allowed unless in keeping with 2ww.

Sorry if this clashes with any other weekends but its the only one GMA has left and already has alot of interest.

Hi Josh

This is slap-bang in between a CiA game and a PBI game, so you might not get many for this.

Might be worth checking the events calendar so there's not too much saturation.

PS: You shouldn't need many, if any, marshalls for a training day as most of the folks are pretty honest about it all for their own benefit.

Yeah, saw those dates on the calendar but this is the only one we’ve got left before Aprils D-Day to run an ops weekend. Is a real shame! We’ve also got quite a few guys from 101st, 29th, 47 Commando slowly getting organised. No Germans at GMA yet but a few groups looking at getting kit.

I’ve pm you Headshot!

Thanks to all the guys that made it to Ops, bloody awesome weekend. Cheers to Teaboy for the grub, your a star Nigel! and special thanks to the beef for all his help setting up the pill box and sniper tower and the take down:) The 88 was firing on the mark and the Pak38 is only a weld away from being ready for D-Day.

Also cheers to all the Axis that came along to help out, we're faily thin on Germans at GMA so was top to have enough for allies to train against!

See you all at D-Day!!
