‘Return to Mulhouse’

18 July 1940
On the 3rd June 1940 nearly 200,000 British and 140,000 French soldiers were rescued from the shore of Dunkirk in the most remarkable rescue mission ever conceived, 850 boats saved Europe from total disaster. After 9 days of rescue, Major General Harold Alexander inspected the shores of Dunkirk from a motorboat to make sure no one was left behind before boarding the last ship back to Britain.
The mission was called ‘Operation Dynamo'
Its not known what has happened to many of the men that didn't make it back, some were executed, most sent to POW camps, but a few have found themselves tide into a story of horrific implications for the British and the whole war effort.
Two missions behind enemy lines by the SAS have already come up with a handful of rumours about a disused chocolate factory in the occupied town of Mulhouse. Their Intel speaks of a new weapon being developed and near completion.
Days after the British intelligence picked up secret coded messages from the SAS, the British secret service put together a wish list team of operatives to be dropped behind enemy lines, meet up with the SAS and find out what’s going on. Their mission is to infiltrate the compound, record any evidence found and then destroy the complex. There were most disturbing reports that local French civilians involved in helping the SAS were going missing and then returning to their homes changed in some way, distant from their families. French Vichy soldiers under the command of a Wehrmacht unit are in control of the roads around the factory and security is tight. The British Intelligence have surmised that the Nazi’s are developing some new kind of chemical weapon, and has made this a priority over other British operations in the area. Also with more aid coming from the US, a number of US specialists have joined the handpicked unit to make this now a joint effort.
