Hi all,
Well, its 10 days to go to the Battle for Caen and the worst nightmare has tapped me on the shoulder. I received a telephone call on Wednesday afternoon form Landmark informing me that the training facility we had booked for Caen was being postponed due to essential Military Training. This is always a risk when booking a premier MOD site and unfortunately we are no exception. First of all I would like to apologize to all those booked on and looking forward to the weekend, non will be more disappointed than me, however we we’re all looking forward to getting stuck in.
We are looking at another date and site to use for this battle as it’s a corker and worth riding the storm form.
Instead we have put together a cracker of a battle weekend.
Filmsim and Gunman Airsoft proudly presents…

Due to the late hour of this event as long as we have you booking forms in you can pay at the £65 rate.
This is a camping event and will feature a bar and the usual GMA hospitality Friday and Saturday night. The game will kick off no later than 12pm and finish no later than 8pm, continuing Sunday from 10am and finishing no later than 2pm. You will be expected as with battle for Caen to feed yourself in the field/at your HQ.
The scenario will be posted up as soon as the site is confirmed.
All the sites we are looking at will be camping and be suitable for any vehicles being brought. We have a choice of 4 sites at the moment which is fantastic.
Choices for those pre booked.

Good job I didn't book the Friday night hotel though!
The one I realy want to use is Dorking (Elite Action Games) but wont know until I go back to War and Peace to meet with John Clancy. I will happily bring my large tents for communual sleeping.

Oh crap! I've booked holiday as I work weekends.
Pleeeeease make it at Dorking! I live a short bus ride from there, better than a long drive and I can nip home when I forget kit
I'm at a re-enactment until tuesday so this looks a little tight at the mo
Mind you MOD wins out I suppose
Dorking is confirmed and booked, what a site! the elite guys have built a village with a road through it and a church with a tower! bloody nutters is all I can say.
Operation Epsom is on
Ill be emailing and ringing round all the guys that have booked to tell them the good news on Tuesday.
Again, thanks for all the emails of support.

Great news - can I have a postcode for the satnav and where we need to be and when?
Can we now bring booze for the camping social?
... and are you refunding the price difference or can we cash this in for BBs and bangs?

Sweet. We'll take 2 x £10 worth of store credit for bangs and BBs.
Any chance of posting up the scenario, camping and facilities info and any new rules - I am on the road most of this week so could do with knowing ASAP (apologies for being a nag)?
I'm really pissed off.
All of a sudden a game at Dorking has been set up, didnt know anything about it (considering I'm EAG) and it's on a weekend that I'm running a help for heros weekend, so it would be a hanging offence if I skived off! Hopefully Messers Clancy and Andrews will inform their other marshals of up and coming WW2 games in the future!
You'll have a great game there guys, Dorking get all the good stuff, fantastic bases, a chrch and watch out for that 25 pounder Mr Andrew has tucked away on site. Dorking is a fantastic site and I think very approriate for many more Army Group South games.
Have fun and I'll look forward to being mighty grumpy about the rave reviews.
Hi Jim, only found out we were going there Thursday last week lol.
Gutted you cant make it, hope to see you on the Eastern front in October
