there were also a GD panther unit fighting on the western front at the time of the normandy invasion. But as none of you have any panthers this infomation isnt really relevant

very very little infomation is known, it was a single panther regiment that had to be taken of the eastern front for refit and resupply. When the normandy landings happened, they were diverted upto the invasion front. Location ? unknown . I have the regiment number and the exact date they were transfered at home which i will post when i finish work

here we go,
my original fought was wrong, they went to france to be eqiupped with panthers.
I./Pnz rgt 'GD' transfers to france on the 7/6/44 for the conversion to the panther and is immediately thrown into the defence of normandy.
By the 6/10.44 the I./Pnz Rgt 'GD' had been transfered back to east prussia with the 6th panzer division and fought in rozan in poland.
15/11/44 I./Pnz rgt 'GD' rejoins the division
