The weather is looking quite iffy at the mo - quite apart from any difficulty of us in getting to site will there be a game running at all? I'm not sure which forum Ed uses for game org from which we can get up to date info.
I think they're on UKAZ, but my profile has been deleted or something. It says I don't exist even though I registered on it.
I'll get his number and check in the morning. TBH, Shropshire looks like it's going to get the brunt of it and the roads are crappy at the best of times. Shropshire holds the record for the lowest English temperature ever recorded, so it has form!
Just checked UKAZ, no mention of anything. I think the best bet is to look out of the window on friday and make a call based on that.

Ed's just emailed me to say he's cancelled the event.
Decision made for us!
Ah, thank you.
I'm taking this (and Josh's cancellation and the assumed anti-German thing) as a bit of an omen. As time is moving on apace how about if we recce Grafton ASAP - both to save a bit of time and stress on the training day and to assess suitability for running Hut 9 there? With a view to dropping the event into the June time slot - both still free and the last month we can use the site. It all seems to fit together nicely and I feel we should seize the opportunity.
We can keep Nescliffe for something else now we have a foot in the door, so to speak.
Edit: Plus is would give additional reason to attend training day - preparation for Hut 9
Good idea.
The next game date they have that I can make is February 17th. Pete and I are at Flying Lead on their next one on Feb 3rd.
17th Feb is fine with me.
Should be ok for me too.

OK, I'll get in touch with Chris. I am a bit concerned that the site is a bit small for an E&E style game though.
I have to say, I really don't like how Landmarc/MoD operate. Josh has a site he can fall back on, but if we lost the site it's an awful lot of work to sort it all out. Plus, it seems IED only have access to Acksea Farm anyway.
Doing a site recce at Grafton will be very handy, even if we decide not to run Hut 9 there. I'm sure it will be good for another scenario and putting Hut 9 off until 2014 is no biggy. I'm also glad that it gives us a chance to have a good look round prior to the training day, as it will give us some proper preparation, allowing us to make the training day more professionally presented.

The Welsh Great Escape story was on Countryfile @ 33:30: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01qgmym/Countryfile_27_01_2013/
Ok, are we still on for the 17th?

I am!
Yarp.
Wunderbar. What time shall we get there for?

It's a game day for Close Action so I'll email Chris to see if there's a time he'd prefer.
Any time is fine for us to get there. Shall we be sensible and aim for 11am?
Pete, I can pick you up if you like.
11am is fine for me.

Yes, that's cool, cheers Steve.
