Well as many of you will have heard 2 guys died over the weekend, they were TA training for or with the SAS.
So I know many of you are looking for the right jacket for your impression etc but keep in mind we are probably not as fit as the TA (having said that I know some fat guys in the TA ) so when it comes to it your jacket may be left in a heap on the floor or back in your car.
We can't say what the weather will be like yet near a month from now.
So consider the shirt under your jacket it should have the right look not just a white DIE HARD T-shirt.

Yes, it looks like they may have died of heat exhaustion. I was out running in the hills at the weekend and it was pretty brutal on Saturday.
We'll just have to see what it is like in August. The current heatwave is unusual.
Cheers

Looks like they were on selection phase 1. While it is tragic, there is a sign over the door on selection wing which says "Death is God's way of telling you that you've failed selection".
Keep cool, wear a hat, drink plenty of water and be on the look out for signs of heatstroke and dehydration in yourself and others, is the best advice for playing in hot weather.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Current forecast is for the hot weather to continue for the next two weeks at least, punctuated by heavy localised thunderstorms.
At Taffy's site, there could be a high risk of getting struck by lightning in a thunderstorm...by some high measure of general daily risk!
The site is quite a tough one and gets hot though. Don't be "that guy" and go beyond your capabilities for fear of being perceived as weak. Get water in you. Wear a hat. Find shade.
I remember it being fooking hot at huskey , and i ditched the grey wool jacket before game on, "thanks for the splinter HBT loan pete )
even then it was a hot day and the hills made it a challenging site, please take plenty of water out with you guys/gals

I tried my shorts and M40 jacket combo today, which is the kiss of death as far as the weather is concerned. Here's hoping anyway.
