Don't normally do 'new to the forum' posts like this, but thought i'd best this time around.
Anyway, Greetings one and all, I'm Ian (or Wigg as i'm generally known). Veteran airsofter of 15 years and recent WW2 airsofter after about 10 years of thinking about it ![]()
Grew up playing at Fireball squadron (Birmingham/Sutton coldfield), these days i help run games at Stormforce near Rugely and have little time to play even there, let alone other sites. But i'm working towards rectifying that, if only to justify my growing armoury and kit collection!
Currently have a US 2nd armoured/82nd cavalry impression mostly finished that i rarely get to use, and am working towards a generic Heer impression through combination of peer pressure, not wanting to let mates be on their own in a game, and there being so damn many Yanks in my area already i feel bad for not giving them someone to play against (Hello Chris, can i be American yet?
)
So far have attended one proper ww2 event at Fireball and will be attending Rise of the Tenth on the 19th, have found the change in playstyles and ammo restrictions a refreshing change to normal airsoft games and hope to attend more in future - i'm finding i need to learn to stop running off on my own so much and play more as part of the squad, but it's a difficult change to make ![]()

Hey fella.
Virtually the same for me mate! This has boosted my interest in airsoft so much so that I have sold about a dozen pistols and a number of prized rifles in order to get some rather nice WW2 era guns. Mr Wray has a lot to answer for!
I too, like the different playing style but also found it difficult not to go off on flanking patrols, oh and the hit thing too. My first event found me calling "hit...er... aaarrrghh". Getting into it now tho.
I am sticking with generic loadouts for now, so 34th Infantry is sorted of course, but am now gathering some airborne stuff. I am also getting a Heer loadout together so that I can join the Gerry ranks from time to time.
See you on the 19th!

welcome
and don't you both blame me lol

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
