Thus far i want to put together a full soviet political officer.
We can never have too many Russians, although you probably want to have the option to play as a normal soldier. Officer impressions tend to be reserved for game organisers at events as it gets a bit confusing otherwise, although iirc Commisars only have a couple of special commisar stars on the sleeves to distinguish them from anyone else.
If starting as German, some of the kit is transferrable to Russian, I usually wear my jackboots instead of sapogi as they look similar from five feet away, and German bayonet and e-tool as these were commonly issued to Russian soldiers.
If you don't like AEGs there are gas and/or bolt action options.

Yep, the red army man with a mosin nagant, the German soldier with K98, the Tommy with a .303... All are options avoiding AEGs and all what is really needed for WWII airsoft event!

welcome trying to finish my german bolt action army so i can start a usa 34th infantry one but just not enough hours in the day
