Hi everyone. I'm Olek I'm 19 and Ive been doing Vietnam airsoft for about 3 years now. At my last game I bought myself a BAR with wood furniture for steal price. Let's face it, once I bought it, it was inevitable that I would go down the ww2 airsoft route.
I've been into ww2 since I was was about 4 (started with model kits) Because of the history of my interest for the period, there was no way I wasn't do ww2 airsoft at some point.

I fancy doing a late war Fallschirmjäger impression with capture BAR.

Hello and welcome to another Londoner! Best way to start is to aim generic with your kit, buy the basics first and then the fancy bits later. Oh and try and get along to a game - There is an event down South in August and Gunman have a game near London in November.

Hello and welcome,

as Matty says, best bet is to go fairly generic at first as basic grey wools will last you the entire war and in any scenario (although in fact there are often a fair number of FJ slots at games).

By far and away the most important thing is to get along to some events - there is usually gear available to borrow, so you don't need tons of stuff to get started.

Cheers

Welcome to the forums!

Just to echo what everyone else has said. A generic infantry impression will go far. For instance, when I joined the hobby I spent hundreds on a brit airborne kit that I've only worn to 2 events.

Regards,

Ralph

Although it is easy enough to turn basic infantry into FJ with a smock and a different helmet (or even same helmet if late war...)

willkommen :good:

Generic kit is the way to go

FJ is cool

Just book an event and get to a game more important as people will always loan kit to you until you get sorted .

We are going to book for the August game look on the forum for details would be a good introduction as kit rules etc are nice and generic :good:

Hello mate! Yeah here too :good:

Give it a go! I had mine out earlier before being silenced by my housemates, I guess they're not fans of Klezmer music...
