Wel Taffy has asked if we can run an other game at his site next year.

Yes mate sounds like an interesting scenario
Im already working with the Inglorious Basterds for a game in April and the 900 days for a game in October so would need to keep well clear of these dates.
might take some careful networking to get enough players, although its a great site its a bit further than a lot of players are prepared to travel nowadays.
June and July looks like the only viable free months in 2015.
Perhaps the first 2 weeks of july to avoid the holiday season and War and Peace show?
OK mate having chat on FB till we get a good idea.
That GIF in the tank still looks cool mate I have the vid as my main youtube vid at the moment it's getting some good views.

Good to see you getting back into it mate Need to see your fantastic tank at some more events though
I had a word with Stut and his lads at the 900 days to sound out his interest in a possible game at the EX-site. As long as we avoid re-enactment dates that's a squad of 10 Germans who would come. I am also sure that Martin and Chris and some of the 34th would come. I think that would be a good starting point
Looks like The Longest Day 25-26 July shame Gunman has just used the name but what the hell that is this year
from FB page "Do people want a D-Day derived event? We may lack sea and beaches other than a lake area D12 but we do have assents to climb a short distance from the lake D16 this area already has small bunker areas in the hillside for the German defenders and could have the old Tank Turret moved to the hilltop. Also the 37mm anti-tank can be up there. The grassed area below will have to be the beach C-F14. I would use the LT boxes (life token) again and run this as missions so we can move about the site and re-group just like we did for Devils Brigade and it worked well. I think this is the best option at the moment THE LONGEST DAY!"

It would be nice if we had some landing craft one maybe. Was thinking water tank/ buckett on side with pyro inside to splash water over guys inside maybe a few Xsite guys also chuck water over and maybe a sound sytem for waves/ engines etc. Plywood job roped together through holes.

From memory the high ground near the lake is well out of airsoft range. Anyone coming out of a landing craft would be safe from fire from the defenders, or have I misunderstood?

Yes mate quite true but could have Germans move back up the hill if we want the allies shot at sooner than later just have a few that will then run back and dig in maybe after they get shot.

New tracks I am ordering http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/a ... 02803.html
Will cost about £1000 from China.
I had considered making something like these in metal but would take time I don't have.

I am thinking could run a game based on a Brit officer and tank getting put out of action and a rescue of him part of Operation Tonga http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Tonga .
Tetrarches were used on D-day so fits well, the officer could have high knowledge off all the invasion plans so is important. Having said this the invasion has already happened but if it is still a Day 1 - D-Day event then still ok.
Sort of Saving Colonel Stewart, see http://www.paradata.org.uk/units/6th-ai ... giment-rac
Colonel Stewart may have been in command of the 6th Airborne Recce on D-Day. So plan could be small battle with tank against germans tank out of action but crew alive. Stewart is high importance knows D-Day plans. US forces sent to save him after beach battle.
Could be an option to have Brit 6th Airborne inf involved in small number.
