Well, If we'd have had more people there , and more tape to film on , we could have made a stormer of a trailer like we did for Anarchy. But....... you've done a great job with not much to work from. If we'd have done less driving around in circles though , we'd have had more time there! lol

You may have noticed I left loads of that first building Hanger 18 out as the video was too dark and it wasn't the main interesting building anyway.

Yeah, there wasnt much chance of getting much decent video in there was there. I was just looking at facebook and thought we could put the game up on the ww2 page on there too? Not actually visited the facebook ww2 page before so i dunno if Anarchy was on there

Am in work today, and at the dentist this afternoon, but I reckon I'll be in bed wallowing in agony after the dentists so if my brain will allow it I'll have a think about some text for the booking/scenario thread

In England, in the spring of 1944, Allied forces are preparing for the D-Day invasion. Among them are Major John Reisman, an OSS officer.

Major Reisman is assigned an unusual and top-secret pre-invasion mission: take twelve soldiers convicted of felony offences, either serving prison sentences or condemned to death, and turn them into a unit capable of carrying out a specific task. They are to infiltrate a château near Rennes, in Brittany, used as a retreat for senior Wehrmacht officers, on the eve of the invasion. Without having complete intelligence as to the identity of the guests, it was felt that the elimination of officers in the German high command or senior staff could cripple or confuse the German military's ability to respond at the time of crisis. It is quickly established that both Reisman and the generals with whom he frequently clashes consider the mission to be a suicidal long shot. After a long period of convincing and training the men, they are deployed to attack a chateau in France, housing German commanders, intending to disrupt the German command structure.

The unit is also under orders to work with and assist the French resistance units in that area.
Shortly before their mission the British have sent a small SOE unit to prepare and supply weapons to the resistance unit they were also to recon the area and send back intel.
Unfortunately nothing has been heard from these men.

I am thinking in the afternoon the SOE guys give us intel that force the US to attack the hanger 18 block to destroy radar factory and equipment that could cause the Germans to detect the invasion fleet.

So some of the Germans will get to change kit into white coats but still have MP40's to repel the new attack.

Other ideas
I think we suggest on the forum that the resitance have a number of tasks to achieve of their own and may ask for assistance from the US forces once the fighting starts. They will also locate the 2 captured SOE men and give this info to the US who will have no info about them being there at that point.

The French have to find the D-Day invasion plans and maybe art treasures hidden allo allo style

End of day fun we could have several small oil drums (cooking oil cans from Chip Shop like I use on my tank for petrol tank) in a line outside the building that we pour a jerry can of water into then drop grenades into

This time I don't think I will be driving the tank as I may need to be with the US forces and maybe take lead if Alex does not show more interest.
So Porta may be using the little German tank as long as he is not pissed that is
So some test driving for him on the Sat is a must.

The tank should only be used for a patrol at the start of the day before the fight kicks off I would think to keep SWAT happy.
It could be driven out of game into the safe zone and brought back in late in the day like in the movie when the vehicles attack at the end and the US use a 30cal on it.

happy with the tank idea, it was nice to drive at anarchy, and on paved roads at chatau, it should handle nice.

an idea is to include two or three gestapo withing the germans, (allo allo style of course) their only mission is to secure artworks for the fuhrer, and the resistance could be doing the same.(as a side mission to keep the resistance happy) it puts some espionage roleplay in to it as well, ill include them in the german post tonight, i can always drop it if you dont like the idea.

a lot of interest already, ecpecially for germans, chommers wants to come, and id assume a free place like last time for all his hard work running the forum perhaps as an extra on top of the german allocation

gadge likes roleplay and with his bad back, im sure hed be up for a role as a non player charicter as an extra (like set dressing) to flesh things out shall i ask him this weekend when i see him?

im doing my german troops thread , tiny do one for resistance, and nigel you do one for the US troops?

Nigel, about spiers, id not consider him for lead US on this, you MUST do it as US troops need strict control at the start of the day to stay on mission track. Alex just dosent seem to contol the dog company lads well enough, despite repeated requests at anarchy, they still did their own thing

Yith, ranj and wladeck have both shown keen interest on the us side, and if they bring the other PBI lads the us will have a good back bone of good players who follow orders and ROLEPLAY the charicters well when its required. get em on board i say, they can make the US side run just as we would like. CW has said CIA have large flags they may be able to lend us to drape down walls, also he had the fallen Maddona pictures etc to lend us so free place to CW. Gadge would be a good Flick I think

I will lead the US side on this at least that will be the plan for now, as I have said I don't want all M42 jump suits in this one I think M43's were in the movie but probably not right for the time but WTF it is the movie I am copying

Sorry I havent been around since monday. Had a tooth out yesterday and it was not good. was a mess so went to bed! Ive put up a french resistance topic but not much info as yet. loads of interest already! im pretty shocked, but i spose after anarchy people DO like "sisk games"

This will have a large glass diamond about 3" di set inside and will be on the table/desk in Flicks office.
You can buy these diamonds for about £3 at my local Taskers over Christmas every year.

We need a name for the diamond that fits with Chateu and Gateau, you know like the pink panther diamond etc.

This diamond was given to Marie-Antoinette in1789 by the king of Spain.
From a certain angle there can be seen a small flaw in the shape of a cat. The people of France have hence forth nick named it Le or La Cateau( don’t understand Le and La rule).
Since 1939 the French resistance have been hiding the diamond but due to some confusion it has fallen into the hands of Herr Otto Flick of the Gestapo (he may not yet know the contents of his gateau).

i can get a huge gateux from costco, and hide the diamonds inside, imagine people running round with a huge cake, whilst in a firefight LOL comedy value

VERY psotive feedback, on the game and scenario type. this could be better than anarchy.

Came to about £53 for 3 of them.
We can use them maybe if we make a second site visit video.
Will try and get the sentry box as well.
