Yes fine several are to do that

Free speech is expensive these days!

MEDIC OPTION
When a squad is mobile.
Could we use the guy with the LT box as a medic when people shout out?
Germans need othe word what ever it is
http://translation.babylon.com/english/to-german/
Medic = mediziner
Doctor = Arzt

I believe it is "Sani!" short for sanitat. will this still use up tokens?
Well project X is ready... a Panzer II turret MG pillbox
considering it will only be in use for a couple of hours on the weekend I'm mad to have done it, but once I had the idea I just couldt stop myself
Still the Winter Line would not be complete without one!
love it mate!
Now you need the tank to go under it
What is it made of?
will this still use up tokens?
yes same but the guy with the LT box could come to him as a medic.

Here is the banger rope I am thinking of cutting them in half and having 4 short ones hanging on steel stakes behind the US lines.

This is my copy and info for the game see attached file.
I need a German officers name for when I give the second Mission Brief Day 1 Scenario 2 – The Radio Post.

Well Oberleutnant Gruber is in command
I take it from your previous video that the bangers are hard to light by hand? If the fuse works it should give a good effect, I was thinking of getting some myself but ran out of money
Got to sort out and pack my kit + for 3 others today
I was paid last night by 2 of the Germans, so now including Tom I have money for 4 of the Germans, I will pay on the day if thats OK as my bank balance is a mess
The 2 reenactors are going to arrive with me on Friday and have volunteered to help us get set up. So we have some muscle to get the ammo crates in position
As for the tank turret its made out of wood but is bloody heavy! The box part breaks down into transportable sections, but will we be able to put the turret on the back of your jeep to get it up the hill ?
The original idea was to dig in the box so you would only see the turret sticking up above the ground, but I dont think we will have time for that so Ive just camo'd it.
Hey money side is your hassle I am keeping out of it to some degree
had all that crap last 2 games sending PM's to people etc.
Now Ste D has paid Taffy for the 2 days, Steve Morley is only 1 day Sat not both.
May have a guy called Hill come with Mat Onion and pay on the day.
You can use the jeep for the turret move
I know wood is damned heavy that's why my tank is aluminium mostly.

Cheers mate, Taffy has sent me a list of those who have paid, I will chase the rest this weekend
I am updating the word doc Things For Monty above, it may be worth you doing a similar doc take a look at it.
The sections in blue are briefs for us to give out short and to the point. They also give a note for each LT box.
Allied brief
The Allies are the 5th Army and they are trying to capture HILL 960 also known as MT Difensa part of the Camino hills.
The hills are protected by the German 10th Army with the attached 14th Panzer Corps, commanded by Oberleutnant Gruber.
For several weeks the 5th Army have been trying to capture this hill but today we are co-ordinating our attack with The Devils Brigade -1st Special Service Force division.
We are to conduct a prolonged frontal attack while The Devils Brigade conduct a surprise rear attack on the Germans.
Both LT boxes will be used each holding 30 tokens.
Troops may shout MEDIC to get help from the person with the LT box.

Yes mate, I have been planning something similar, also a general safety/game breif for the start of the game
Just been informed Alex will not be attending the game due to back problems
So now I need to press someone else in, I did suspect this may happen.

Ok some idea's for the main breifing, I presume that the site organisers will want to their own, but this is what I have so far:
Main Brief
Welcome to Monte La Difensa, an Oddball game with Oddball and Speirs running the Allied side, Myself and Marsha running the German side.
Firstly I want to run through the rules for the game.
Eye protection must be worn at all times outside the safe zone. The safe zone is this field, there must be no loaded guns within this area and no firing into the safe zone from outside.
If your eye protection falls off, immediately cover your eyes with your hand, kneel down and shout Cease fire and Help I've lost my goggles! Everyone in the area must stop firing and make there weapons safe, someone will recover your eye protection for you and whilst covering your body from stray shots assist you to put your eye protection back on.
If your eye protection has steamed up, do not remove them to clean them, instead with the assistance of a friend using their body to shield you kneel in front of them and with the glasses/goggles still on loosen them slightly from your face and wipe the inside of the lens.
You only have one pair of eyes – look after them.
There are some sheer drops on the site, especially tomorrow in the quarry. We ask every one to use their common sense and keep away from cliff edges and don't attempt to climb them to outflank the enemy etc. You are not mountaineers and you will end up in hospital, This site is used regularly for airsoft but you must use your common sense.
Weapons must be below 350fps or 500fps for a single shot bolt action rifle. If the rifle is over 350fps you must use a minimum engagement distance of 25m, this means you cannot fire at a range of less than 25m and must either fall back if the enemy are closer or use a side arm.
Hits and regen, When you are hit we would prefer you to shout out a loud scream and fall to the ground theatrically rather than just put your hand in the air and shouting hit. Remember this is not an airsoft game it is a WW2 experience. If you shoot someone and they scream and fall to the ground it makes you feel like a WW2 soldier rather than someone on a open day doing a bit of airsofting.
Hits anywhere on your body or equipment count, gun hits and ricochet do not. When hit having fallen to the ground if you remain on the ground for a few minutes it looks so much better than just quickly getting to your feet and heading for regen.
For Regen today we are using a Life Token system, Officers will either have a Life Token box with them or placed at a designated regen position. When you are hit make your way to the Life Token box, take a token out of the bag and place it in the slot in the box. You are now a new soldier arriving on the battle field as a reinforcement, so you can reload your ammo and rejoin the battle.
If the action is mobile rather than fixed regen points you may call for a medic or sani and if the person with the LT box can get to you they will medic you back into the game, this will still cost a LT but you cannot reload.
Ammo Limits, You have 200 rounds per life, or 1200 rounds for an MG. You can arrange your ammo how you like providing you keep to your ammo limit e.g. if you have an MP40 with low cap magazines you may have 4 loaded mags with 50 rounds each or you could have 6 Mags with say 32 rounds each. High capacity winding mags are allowed, however you must only fill them with 200 rounds per life, in addition we ask you not to wind the magazines between bursts, instead fire until it stops shooting then fully wind it before you fire again. That way the time you spend winding the magazine is about as long as it takes someone to change a mag, so people with low cap mags are not at a disadvantage.
If you run out of ammo you can return to the Life Token box and use a token to reload your ammo.
Obviously too much of this and your side will run out of life tokens and lose. So as a real soldier would use your ammo wisely, short controlled bursts.
Grenades have a kill radius of 5m unless you are in hard cover such as behind a wall or in a trench or bunker. We would rather that you take it as kill if it lands 7m away rather than not take the kill when it is 3m away.
Also do not try to run outside the blast radius of the grenade shouting no kill or other such gay behaviour. Grenades add a great dimension to WW2 but you have to take the kill.
Teflon warriors & cheat calling Nothing spoils a WW2 game more than either of these. The way the regen system works you will never be out of the game for long so there is no reason not to take your hits. If you shoot someone and they scream out and fall to the ground dead it feels like you are in a real battle. If you shoot someone and they don't take there hit it feels like your just airsofting with a dickhead dressed in a WW2 uniform.
Of course we are wearing lots of kit and equipment and may not always feel the hit, so if you are sure you've hit someone you can call out “ hey buddy I got you then†but under no circumstances are you to call out “ you cheating bastard take your hitsâ€. If you think someone is deliberately not taking their hits tell a game organiser and we will watch them, if they do it in front of us we will ask them to leave, however if you cheat call it may be you that we ask to leave instead.
If you see someone on your own side getting hit and not taking it let them know they were hit, they may not have felt it, this has happened to me before, just let the person know so they can take their hit.
Squads and orders You will all be organised into squads and have NCO's and officers commanding you. Always try to stay with your squad and work as a team with them, do your best to follow any orders given to you. Do not go off lone wolfing trying to get a cool kill. Its working within a squad and following orders that makes WW2 an experience rather than just a game.
Above all have some fun today but also try to make it fun for everyone else here.
If you get the chance take some photo's and post them on the WW2 website so everyone has good memories of the day.
Any suggestions? will you be doing the breif or do you want me to do it?
If you are happy to do the brief you are welcome but I will be with you a step in if any strange questions are asked we didn't think of.
I have been sitting here tonight trying to think what to say and you have done a great job.
one bit
If the action is mobile rather than fixed regen points you may call for a medic or sani and if the person with the LT box can get to you they will medic you back into the game, this will still cost a LT but you cannot reload.
not sure if that will work may be a bit hard for people to take that they can't reload on a mobile game mission but I presume you mean if they walk to the guy with the LT box they can but that will also be hard for people to remember in a fire fight.
Have just got the new house this week and have a lot to think about on top of all this.

Free speech is expensive these days!

OK mate I take your point I have edited that part out and added a piece about holding up a bandage and calling dead man walking to ensure your not fired at when returning to regen
Have had mark round and he pointed out an other track link broke so in the time I have left I could fix it but I just feel I am taking on too much so I feel the tank will have to stay home now.
I have had to give him a box of clothing I was taking in the car as I just won't have space in the jeep for all my kit.
I did plan to sleep in the car but now will be a tent.
I hope the weather will be good.
Don't want to bring full weather gear for jeep as that will be less space for kit.
Will only bring 2 thompsons now maybe only 1 in fact.
Will have to go back to small gas tank for the gun also.

I suspect the LT boxes will help reduce them a bit anyway.

Free speech is expensive these days!

I am not totally discounting the tank going as I put a lot of work in sorting some things out.
I have remembered I am off work Wed so may change an other track link if the weather is ok.
It will mean me leaving the tank on the farm till next Thursday when I can go back with my car to tow it home. Will also have to tow it there this Friday lots of drives over now
