Last pics
Thanks for the photos I will use them in the video
Ok we sorted out a number of points, we think we have most of the events for day 1 worked out.
However we both agree we need a second site visit preferably with Marsha present maybe also with a member of the 34th inf guys depending on if I am with them or not for the rear attack.
It could be worth Alex being there if he can make it.
We could do with this visit sooner than later, so May or early June. I have quite a bit on in late June with MVT events etc, mid July works for me but is late in the year.
I have some video I will post once I have edited it but wind noise is a big problem on it, my camera battery also ran flat far to soon.
We think the roulette chips will be called LIFE CREDITS maybe.
We have come up with an ammo limit of say 200 shots for standard guns and 600 -1200 for MG's, this is per life.
However using the LIFE CREDITS system we will give the option for a person to declare themselves dead to use 1 LIFE CREDIT to re-load their 200 shots or 1200 for MG users.
We think the basic mathematics of the LIFE CREDITS should as a rule of thumb work as 3 per person. This means if we have 20 per side then each side is given 60 CREDITS.
Each side is to have 2 LIFE CREDIT ammo boxes and bags so this could be 30 CREDITS in each bag, the reason for this is that on a number of occasions the force of each side will be split.
Each time a force is split it is up to the officers to split the remaining CREDITS according to the difficulty of the mission.
There are a few times over the weekend when the LIFE CREDIT system will be relaxed when an objective has to be taken by a particular force to be able to move the game on.
We need a second site visit to work out day 2 however we feel much of day 2 will be using the quarry side of the site.

Will come next time but hopefully no late call outs from work

The Battle for Monte LaDifensa 2-8th December 1943
In September 1943 the Allies invaded the southern Italian mainland at Salerno. Strategic planners had believed that the Germans would then withdraw north, toward the Alps. But the Germans did not withdraw, and in what became known as the Battle of the Winter Line, the Allies began their long fight up the Italian peninsula .
In November 1943 General Mark Clark's U.S. 5th Army was readying an offensive on the mountains below Monte Cassino. The Germans had fortified the chain of heights northeast from Camino-Difensa halfway across Italy as an additional barrier to Allied forces attempting to break through to Rome. While the main defensive line, the Gustav Line, was formidable, the additional fortifications at Camino-Difenso (the "Winter Line") were intended as an additional delay.
The Winter line was fortified with gun pits, concrete bunkers, turreted machine-gun emplacements, barbed-wire and minefields. It was the strongest of the German defensive lines south of Rome. About 15 German divisions were employed in the defence.
Two corps were to attack the Camino hill mass overlooking the Mignano Gap; the British 10th Corps, to the left, was to attack Monte Camino and the U.S. 2nd Corps to seize adjoining heights on the northern half of the massif. Opposite them were troops of the 15th Panzergrenadier Division.
As the Allied troops move up to their start positions, the low rumble of German armour can be heard from the daunting massifs....

Uniform and Weapon Requirements
Uniform Requirements
Whilst we are attempting to be as inclusive as possible on the impressions allowed we would ask that everyone makes an effort to have the highest standard of kit they can manage appropriate to their impression we have a kit lending/borrowing thread here: (Link)
German defenders:
Heer - 15th Panzergrenadier Division – Basic Heer loadout or optionally grass green waffenfarbe. Gerbisjager will also suit.
We will also allow SS and Fallschirmjager as these units fought in Italy and do not look out of place.
Allied
US – Basic US infantry is preferred. Airborne is acceptable.
British – Basic infantry battledress is preferred. Airborne/Commando is acceptable.
We will attempt to squad up appropriate to the players look so units look like a squad.
Weapons - Any WW2 weapon and any wood stocked bolt action rifle. (Please scrim up any modern bolt action weapons) No look a like weapons please apart from an appropriate M14.
Yup like that

I am also happy with that it's saved me some time thanks Pride
Feel free to do some edits to it if you want and we can get this posted soon.
If we post spoiler pics we don't want to give to much away by naming the Mt we are to use etc, just general landscape photos & a link to older event videos on the site.

Now we can buy 4x 7.62ammo boxes or use my Kelly’s Heroes gold crates?
Germans could use the crates with eagles on and US have ammo boxes
We just tie the draw string bags onto the box handle.
Not sure if you guys watched the video but this bit [link]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaGTAh5ADxU&feature=player_detailpage#t=958s[/link]
The Germans will need to use the 2 boxes, if we have about 20 Germans then you want 5 each side pref 1 each side with an MG and 10 to sweep round the rear to push the allies forwards once they have the radio/radar gear.
This should commence between 11.30 and 12.15 ish this depends on how long the Difensa battle takes.
If we start the event about 10am we need to have the 34th inf guys moving in on the rear about 20min before the battle starts 09.40. It will take about 40min for the 34th to cross the site on foot with kit.
So if it works about 10.20 the 34th should be in place at the rear of the MT and free to attack as soon as they like.
We have been told to expect about 10 of them and the plan is still to keep them off the forum booking list.
The frontal attack on Difensa by the allies must be held back at a distance we don't want them all gung-ho and to just run up the hill in the first 5min and push the Germans off
So they should understand this point before kick-off.
Taffy has a number of large green ammo crates and these can be used as a barricade on Difensa along with the tank and 37mm gun.
We have no real idea how long this battle may run as it depends on many things like number of troops on each side and how we share the tokens out.
Alex and I need to sort out if one of us is to be with the 34th, if so I think it should be me but I don't mind what.
Reason I say this is if Dog Co come then Alex is more known to them and can work with them on the frontal attack/ diversion however you look at it.
Free speech is expensive these days!
So the Germans not just defending a few attacks too
I may have a few news ideas to add I'll let you know after Sunday
