Sorry, that was really bitchy of me Rooster, ignore my xenophobic aspersions towards CIA. I've actually really enjoyed every one of their games that I've been to.

i dont know if guy or headshot are, not to fussed really , but its a shame about pete and kermit, good drinkers and a good laugh. why can it, just because the events took a downturn.

Yes bad news about CIA but they will still be at games and I can see some of them jump in with others running them.

I have been to a few CIA games which have been a bit poor but others great.

It was them that got me into this where we are now.
I don't like games were you can see the enemy but are not allowed to shoot at them until the order is given on both sides I think all of us would agree on that one.

Anyway looks like this game is going to work and we had thought of jacking it in 1 week ago, it just shows you can turn things around if you put the work into it, even just 1 week and things are better and we are all back in gear for this

We all thought after the last game it would be easy to get people but a northern game is always a problem so we are finding northern people to come which is what we need. People have left the forum down here as nothing came down here, now we are doing it

Just so you don't have to ponder any more, all four of the remaining four members have packed it in. They had really done so a year ago - plain to see their hearts weren't in it anymore. I doubt Guy will make an announcement. He and Jay have never been players as such anyway. Pete tried to keep things going but it is hard and pointless to drag reluctant team members with you. Steve has a dancing hobby with his new wife so that will obvoiusly be the direction to take.

Anyway, point of this message is to say keep calm and carry on, the forum is still here to support and promote your events so keep the focus - WW2 airsoft needs you!

I know everyone has a moan and little digs at CIA, well everyone, from time to time, but in all honesty I'm truly sorry it's happened. Like Nigel said, CIA is the reason we're all here really! Thanks for your post chommers, we'll all look forward not backward

For next year I have been thinking of an other film The Devils Brigade but the only site seems to be Taffies X-site for the Mt La Defenca or what ever they call it / spell it

However it could be boring just trying one part of the film and to do the town capture just does not work there as there is the old problem of no buildings.
So I think we would need to find an other site maybe North Wales with buildings and a hill section.

I now have the artillery for the hill and could borrow a second Pak gun from a mate, remember the gun will fire on it's own on timer so no need to have guys with it all day.
We also have the tank for a town capture part.

Anyway just me having a ramble but I did this last year about The Dirty Dozen just before Anarchy so nothing changes

Next game is find Hitler so good fun

I'm speaking to porta as I type. We are happy for him to attend, but he needs to be told there is no power and no genny. As for a lift, there is the car sharing thread or get a train to the station 100yards away. On a personal note, neither me nor Porta will be spending any time catering to his needs like at Anarchy, as last time his total lack of personal admin very nearly ruined both our weekends!

Just make sure you ask him if he has a heart transplant booked in for the Friday before the event, again like last time! On a serious note, he MUST be made aware that his personal health is HIS responsibility, and any equipment he needs to stay alive(water, food, cpap machine, and more importantly his OWN FUCKING BEER, etc) must be brought with him and be in a functional state!

Feel free to copy and paste this and send it on to him. This is not sarcasm, but essential advice/information.

Like I said mate, Im more than happy for him to attend, he just needs to sort his own stuff out and not expect other people to do it for him. The straw that broke my(and I think porta's) back was the comment about it being 'a bit unfair'. That relating to the fact we hadn't foreseen, catered for, and offered him, all the assistance he needed as someone with (and I'm pretty sure he actually said it) a disability. Correct me if I'm wrong Porta, he said it to you not me..... hence he still has a sticky out nose!

I remember when i spoke to Felix in the November on an open day at the tunnels he was still quite annoyed about the whole thing. I suppose if your disabled you shoudlnt be doing an activity which involves running/walking around.
Also Did you get flag back Porta? they found it while i was there.

i said no, and then felix said if id said yes, i couldnt have booked the tunnels

He was the biggest problem we had at Anarchy don't forget I was with him for 1 hour before you guys I was looking his kit over to try and see if it could be re-wired to run on 12V and he hadn't brought all the leads.
I went to bed about 12.30 after Felix said he could get a generator for him, so Felix got the hot potato and I did a runner

Thanks for calling and good to speak to you again.

I spoke to Paul at Swat, he thought that the nearest BnB would be about 2 miles away – probably too far for me to walk.

But he said he was planning to turn a reliable quiet generator all night anyway so providing me with mains power at the campsite would not be a problem.
