Well, usual CiA rules apply (more info on separate thread in this game section of the forum)
BUT if you want to be authentic to the scenario and fit in with others here are some idea:
British
British forces will be represented by Oxf and Bucks Light Infantry, the 1st Battalion which were part of the 53rd Welsh Infantry Division and the 2nd Battalion which were part of the 6th Airborne Division. There will also be roles for sappers and SAS reconnaissance.
Wool battledress trousers, Denison, maroon beret (badged as Oxf & Bucks) or Airborne helmet
or Battledress blouse and trousers, rifle green beret or tin hat - badged as Oxf and Bucks LI
or just brown wool greatcoat and 'tommy' helmet
German
German forces will be represented by 9th SS Pz. Div (Hohenstaufen) and 116th Pz Div
Combinations of feldgrau trousers and jacket, SS camo smock, grey greatcoat, black jacket & trousers, peadot jacket & trousers, helmet, ski cap, splinter or ss camo zelt, snow suit or parka
or just grey greatcoat and ski cap
American
American forces will be represented by the 82rd Airborne, 84th Infantry Division and the 2nd Armoured Division
Airborne M43 jump suit badged as 82nd,
or M41/M43/tanker jacket with cotton or wool trousers, M1 helmet
or brown wool greatcoat with M1 pot
Note: For all three forces - the good thing about greatcoats is you can wear as much (or as little ) as you like underneath and it doesn't need to be authentic PLUS you don't need to badge up. Cheap, warm and looks the part.
happy to see snow suit on there,as i'v cut up a white sheet for my helmet.snow suit trousers with m43 jacket, headover and jackboots.

- yup, cut up white sheets, gloves, scarves/headovers are excellent accessories for all...
better hope its snows then with all that white sheeting on
White is only a shade brighter than your desert kit so it won't make much difference...
It'll be a nightmare identifying the enemy if everyone turns up in white though!
To get really nit-picky, US Airborne should be in M43s. But that's just getting silly about it.
As usual our relaxed attitude to kit restrictions will prevail, see the threads that Chomley links to for more info.

US were not prepared, and hence did not have any snow camo, I believe.
Quick tip: ask before you cut up your wife's sheets...
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
US were prepared having been in the area for months and were planning a winter offensive (but weren't prepared to be comprehensively attacked) but regardless, all forces improvised with plundered or donated white sheets. I've got a nice shot somewhere of US troops camouflaging their vehicle with sheets!

Think these are Brits:
Nice photos!
Yeah the last pic is of a British sniper team on the Dutch-German border in late 1944
Pretty sure thats 6th airborne in the ardennes and the guy with the no4 t is part of a full fighting patrol of about 10 men and not a sniper team.
I've the full series of pics in front of me in the 'go to it' illustrated history of 6th airborne.
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
In the unlikely event of snow, I will get my white smock out then...
Mind you if there's snow I can see I won't get to the site as it'll be a trip across the peak district for me! heh
Simple solution to that, Richard - buy PBI a Bren carrier!
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
I've seen pics of 6th airborne at that time wearing german parkas and leather jerkins over densons too.
Should it snow i'll lend you my reversible parka if you like rich.

I already have a white snow camo smock with hood bought ages and ages ago, but never used...
Heh.. a carrier would be nice, but would increase the travel time and cost a little too much for my liking
Baring in mind guys that it is a pine forest, so the chances of a large amount of snow getting through the canopy and landing on the ground is reduced.
yup.. I know... but I've seen it work at the old F&O matlock site... and it was a pine forest there as well.
Regardless of whether there will be snow or not (and it's 100% not, let's be realistic!) - players please do bring snow camo if you have some. (Or helmet covers/whitewashed helmets/sheet ponchos etc etc)
Unless we suddenly enter a new ice age I think I think I'll stick with a sheet & some chalk for now. I'd love to play in the snow as I've never airsofted in in (unless you count in the garden with a couple of mates) but as Yith says it could make the drive interesting. I may have to invest in a greatcoat though.
