Hi Chommers,
I am currently stuck in the US thanks to the Icelandic Volcano but still want to do this
...I am out of email contact so you neednt reply - just to let you know
Thanks, Guy
Hmm, so am I!! Stuck in LA! Rumour is that it's going to be at least a week until we can get back. Thank god work are paying for this!

Che and Carl will be booking as Germans sometime soon.
Good news. There seem to be a few waiting for pay day before coughing up, so the numbers should swell a bit at the end of the month.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Yes, I'm not worried at all at this stage, plenty of time yet.
IED aren't worried about the numbers for this game nor are we paying a flat fee so as long as Germans outnumber Allies then we have a game as planned.
So numbers are a bit poor at the moment, but hopefully that will improve.
But as an observation at the moment, you have 4 SAS people signed up, all of which are long serving live role players who are very used to being fully in character, and positively expect plot, immersive action and will interact with locals, resistance, etc fully in character. Plus we all know each other pretty (or very) well. Just in case you thought you might want to direct us, push non fighting missions and encounters, run stuff that is more "living history" (i.e. roleplaying ) or assume we can operate fully in character for 24 hours.
So in summary, what I am saying is, push us, assume we can and will operate fully in character, and for God's sake don't put Josh in charge
Errr......what? Any ideas what this is supposed to mean?
No idea but, I sense some very long range patrols for him coming on!

I've been chatting to Ghost Macroth about some books I had for sale and have asked him about coming to Jedburgh.
Given the ill feeling mustered a while back, do you think a formal invite to Ernie et al would be a good idea?
S
Yes, a good idea - I don't think he has visited the forum for a good while so might not be aware of the northerness of this event. Ditto with Warren. Its still a hell of a trek I know but meh, worth a couple of PMs!
Del and ZeroBravo will be coming as FG and will be happy with guarding prisoners and staffing checkpoints etc.
Bah, I can't remember Ernie's wife's name. Anyone?
Beth?

'tis Beth
I've posted up event details on PST, Allied and Pozzi forums, FWIW.
I'm sure there will be some negative posts which I shall play with a straight bat. I've been in lengthy posts before about the virtues of WW2 airsoft and it isn't worth the bother. So a change of tactic, those curious can come over here and talk about it without fear of being put down by traditionalists, those who are vehemently anti - well nothing will change their mind so I'll just concede to their opinion.
Any takers from the Scottish lot? We're at the end of May now, when a few said they would book up. We're still short of 7 or 8 Germans really, as well as at least 3 or 4 more SAS. We have enough Jed's to make a game of it for them. We won't get any from the anal reenactor community.
If we don't get more by say, the end of the week, I think the gameplan will need tweaking, which will piss me off no end!

No, I emailed Beth and Ernie and they said they've got a game planned that weekend so can't make it.
Is it worth putting a deadline on the bookings so the plan can be re-written if necessary?
Say, 20th June?
That might instill a bit of urgency in people's desire to book...
Either that, or all German players are teh gheyz.
S
Something like 120 views of event announcement across the three reenactment forums but apart from a flurry of guest visits to this forum no concrete interest whatsoever.
I don't think a deadline will help, indeed it will just put off last minute bookers - Barrie and Anne for example.
Simple solution is for a plan B now so whatever the final outcome we are prepared. Its not like there is anything major to be tweaked anyway. I'd say though that any overnight operations are out of the window, everyone will be too fooked with not being able to share the load.
Well, let's discuss "plan b" at Webby's game, as much as it will annoy me to have to do so. We seem to have gone from having a load of up for anything players, to having a bunch of selectively poverty stricken walts. Perhaps I'm being harsh, perhaps not. I'm speaking from the heart here and make no apologies for it.
