Ditto. Even though the wife isn't too happy about me sodding off to "play soldiers" on my birthday!

True. I'm trying to book the friday as leave because, as it stands, I'm working until 1700hrs.

So am I. I don't have any leave with my honeymoon later in the year, but might be able to swing a half-day with accrued time.

I've got a funny feeling he was one of the Germans (yes, actual Germans) that I was talking to at the Airsoft Arms Fair a month or so ago.

Super news on the Jeds - any word on Barrie. He was thinking of the German side but he would be great as the last SAS.

No. I had a chat with him via PM as he wanted to send a cheque.

I've just sent a polite reminder PM.

They are moving house though, so that could be a factor.

He confirmed he wanted to play German. I suspect he doesn't like the idea of sleeping a tad rough. Anne certainly wasn't interested at all apparently.

Yes, I thought Anne wouldn't want to do it without a hermetically sealed tent. But I wouldn't say the SAS were sleeping any rougher than jerry - same tents!

Great news for the Jed's (also the Germans!). If we don't get another SAS man, I'll just have to lead a patrol myself. The unfortunate effect of this will be to leave the SAS base completely unguarded. Still time for someone to book though, so no alarm bells just yet.

I told Barrie that you can get pup tents with stitched in ground sheets and fly mesh doors, but I think she needs nylon to feel safe....
