Jamie has just asked the following questions:
What are the rues on:
* destroying / capturing vehicles;
* casualties to passengers and the driver (er, me);
* firing into / out of vehicles; and
* mounting support weapons.
A pyro within 5 metres, or a hit on the driver, knocks out the vehicle, which has to stay there for 20 minutes, before returning to base for "repairs", where it may return to the game after a further 30 minutes (meaning a hit vehicle is out for about an hour). Allies may not use vehicles.
If players want to shoot from a vehicle, they should fully expect to get shot at it in return (best if windows are kept wound down (or removed), to avoid potential hazard of broken glass). Mounted support weapons are fine.
I suggest a 10mph speed limit for "in game" vehicles, so, if the driver gets topped, it doesn't crash!
Casualties in vehicles are subject to normal hit/medic rules.
If a vehicle is being used for emergency casusalty transport, or organiser meetings, hazard lights and headlights should be on.

Super, info passed on.
One point - a pyro knocks out the vehicle (and of necessity the driver) but the passengers can exit unharmed? Always fun when players pile out into a hail of fire from an ambush!
Yep, that's cool, the vehicle takes the blast.

Further question from Jamie:
Is that "up to 5 metres in front of the vehicle" or "within 5 metres all around"? (If the latter, that gives a target area of about 150 square metres.)
By the way, the vehicle Dave B is bringing is Guy's old Gaz! Dave sold the 'Stower' to Nelz a year ago but he never paid for it so it has been retrieved.
A 5 metre radius from the centre of the vehicle will do. It's the same hit radius we use for players, so, simple enough.
