Taking it that Kroot's Crazy Crew is going to be putting in an appearance, and knowing your tendancy to going for the more obscure elements of the wide range of members of the battlefield, may I ask that instead of a bunch of Spanish renegades who's ship had crashed into the Cornish coast some weeks earlier, that you style yourselves as Home Guard Auxhiliary forces. More the local farmer types who looked like ...local farmer types, but had been away for specialist training in the defence of the nation. There's loads to research, I have a copy of Stewart Angell's book "The Secret Sussex Resistance" and I'll happily post it to you for an accurate source of reference.
To be honest the only way you would know that we were vets from the SCW would be if you checked the badges.
Most of the kit will be British civilian with some British army kit.
It was the SCW vets who were trainning alot of the HG by the way. However most of them were banned from joining.
For them the war had only ended 18 months before and they had marched home by late '38.
Don't worry we won't be waiving the red flag and singing the International(well maybe a little 
)

Hey the Yanks set the parameters for that war! They made the rules, Uncle Ho mearly used them to get at the I mperial aggressor
Tom Wintringham and to a small degree Eric Blair(George Orwell) were major parts of Osterly park were they were trying to teach the LDV that the war was going to be one dirty and evil affair. Much was learnt by the British members of the International brigade in those years. The main one being...don't trust Stalin!

Kroot is hinting that some of us could be staff from Osterly Park or some such. 
There may be some 3 pointed stars or badges with some Spanish on them in the mix but on the whole mainly working class civilian look. So, we could pull off the auxiliaries look (totally yokel ).
I was working on civilian with arm bands but not much else, also something more home guard-ish has now become possible for me at least

All I can confirm that I did look into getting hold of a "pantomine cow", but I found that unworkable due to cost and transport 
(and the small problem that no one wants to be the back end! )
On a more serious note, yes, as a few members of our crew do not got a great amount of disposable income, so we are adapting our existing resistance look (no berets, onions or other obvious French clothing). We are comming mainly as 30's/40's civilians/resistance with LDV/Home Guard arm bands, either as a home guard unit that hasn't had issue yet, or possible those not permitted to serve (communists / blackshirts other undesirables) but are eager to defend their homeland from jerry! A few of us are trying for Home Guard with some uniform if personal budgets and oppotunities (chance finds, like with most of our kit) permits.

I'm new to all this so here goes. I've been doing airsoft a couple of months now and this is definately my 1st WWII. Zero Bravo told me to register so here I am. Faced with only one gun and limited finances (expensive hobby this) I wanted to create a WWII gun which at the cut of a cable tie reverted back to my SPR. So the Lewis gun was born in a weeks worth of lunch hours. My step son then decided he wanted something and again he still had to be able to use his M4. Another weeks worth of lunch hours and the vickers was born. (The back is hinged and the M4 slides right out. (minus foregrip and foresight). That was 2 weeks ago and last week followed the Blacker bombard spigot mortar. Todays request was for a Northover projector and or a Holman projector so I will see what I can do. My dining room is starting to look like an armaments factory. I know Zero Bravo has already posted pics but as this is my 1st time in the forum I will try and upload one. hope this works.

Just commisioned a mobile radar unit (1.5m sattelite dish connected to the motor unit off a golf buggy, built onto a small trailer!) I recon the Ford Guys could enter scrapheap challenge at this rate
