Gunman Airsoft proudly present…
Operation Shingle ‘The Battle for Anzio’
Candleston, South Wales
November 20-21
£65 pre-book, £85 on the gate.
22 January 1944
The war effort for the Allies in Italy has come to a stop as the heavily defended Gustav line seems unbreakable. And continues to holds against all attempts. Churchill has a plan to out flank the Germans and release pressure on the Eastern Front by an amphibious landing at Anzio.
This game will start with a beach landing, then on to the main part of the site.
As always all are welcome but if you wish to put a correct load out together, we are looking for mainly US and British Infantry. Any German or Italian.

Im pushing to use the dunes but cant say yes until I have confirmed paper work, Old'un will tell you the shite we had to go through to use the beach, let alone the dunes Its NOT a beach landing game, but the battle cross the dunes into the woodland cover is what im going for.

Anzio wasnt just on the beach, just inland from the beachead is still just as good!
Hi Webby, its NOT a beach landing game bud, but im using the dunes and then site for the struggle inland.

Wasn't saying it was, I was saying that Op Anzio wasn't just about the landings..
Hi, I'm just starting out and looking for events. I've had some good advice from the cia crowd and wondered if u could give me a bit more. Does your event have the capacity to loan weapons! The whole rigmarole of getting a defence for a weapon seems protracted and expensive. It has been suggested that if I can get to an event, borrow kit, join up it'll go towards proving my defence! Please let me know. Thanks.

Yep that's correct, any insured skirmish site event helps towards your defence, josh hires guns out at a very reasonable rate and his ww2 events are simply the best in my opinion, not to be missed! He has vehicles involved and excellent firing mortars and pyro to help the feeling of being shelled!
If you pm Target( that's josh) of Gunman Airsoft his ww2 games come under Filmsim by name an nature
hope this helps you?

Yeah Gunman has hire games and kit for you to use at his games, other games on here too there are plenty of people with too much kit who will be willing to lend out.... it's usually what happens.
So gunman, any room for a rookie? As the guys have stated, do u hire out gear? What can I expect to pay and how do I go about booking up?

Got some questions:
- what are the fps restrictions for this game? (Our replica's are allowed to go 350 with a 10fps margin for fully auto AEGs and 500fps for boltaction rifles in Belgium).
- is it possible to stay at the site the night before the game starts? To setup camp etc.

Slightly off topic;
Can I just once again reiterate how glad I am that you've allowed for the use of 'battle rifles'/sub 370fps bolties. I've have such fun with my No4 lookie-likey at Caen and Shingle Ops! It really does add to the WW2 battles (Shingle Ops, with only 4 aegs on the field, absolutely rocked!)
