Location: Elite Action Games Worthing Date: February 21st & 22nd 2009 Name: Oporation Jubilee Background details taken from Wikipedia The Dieppe Raid, also known as The Battle of Dieppe or Operation Jubilee, during the Second World War, was an Allied attack on the German-occupied port of Dieppe, Seine-InfÃ©rieure on the Northern coast of France on 19 August 1942. Over 6,000 infantrymen, predominantly Canadian, were supported by large British naval and Allied air force contingents. The objective was to seize and hold a major port for a short period, both to prove it was possible and to gather intelligence from prisoners and captured materials while assessing the German responses. As this is our first attempt at running a WW2 themed game we are sticking as close as possible to the Comrades in Arms rules for look alike kit and weapons. These guys have been running WW2 games for some time and their rules work. There will be severe ammo limits, 600 rounds per life so no hi caps if possible, please. Price for the weekend will be Â£25, with a ten pound non refundable deposit to book a place. Another hint from the CiA guys is to limit and set the places, so to start with the game is limited to 20 players, 10 Allied and 10 Axis, please make it clear when booking which side you want to play on. When the initial places are taken we will open more places but ensure an even split. I posted this up on Arnies, and have been advised to post it here as well. Elite Action Games Worthing is a small friendly site on the south coast in sunny Sussex and as I'm a firm believer that there's not enough WW2 action in the south I thought I'd dip my toe into the world of hosting a game. I'm putting a lot of work into hopefully making it a good game, we've done a few weekenders and some 24 hr games so I know there's enough to play for a weekend. My plan is to kick off the game at noon on Saturday and play till about 5 ish, with the chance for a two hour night mission for those who want to do it, from 6.30 till 8.30 pm. After that in finest CiA tradition it's all guns away and I'll break open the schnapps that I aquired from a friendly Austrian My wife will do up a pan of stew for us to help soak it up. After Bacon Banjos on Sunday the games will commence at 10am and run till 3pm. As I've previosly stated it's my first foray into hosting a WW2 game so please be a bit forgiving if I over indulge in artistic license,( it's a woodland site, not a port!) and as it's an experiment, it is reflected in the price. ( I'd be cutting my own throat if I dun it any cheaper guv, honest ) Please PM me for address to send deposits, sorry I dont have paypal as yet. It's well worth getting a set of those photos, theres 253 on that disc, all very big images, sorry I dont know the tekinkal terms but I had to reduce them massively. Everybody that attended the event has close up action photos of them and the explosion photos are awesome, the photographers shutter speed is so fast that the small pyro that went off in the gun barrels was captured in four photos of crystal clear image!

Bump on the topic of WW2 versus the Others game at Elite Action Games in Worthing. 15th March all welcome, and massive bending of the rules on look alike guns so that the sides can be evened up a bit
It's not worth starting a different thread, this is just a chance for anyone in the area with WW2 kit that wants to stretch their legs and shoot a combined DPM Multicam and cadpat mob of usual regular players.

Numbers, who knows although we usally manage a 60 -70 player turn out so I was planning appx 20 per side ish. Got a seporate house team that need to train together so I can use them independantly on either side. The usual regs will outnumber the ww2 ers so I'll make sure they are divided and not usually working with each other untill the final assault, type game.
