Any thoughts on the `Rule Set` yet? Limited ammo lives re spawn or medic bandages. I ask as there will be a number of new people attending who have not been at a WW2 event and it may be good to have time to get their heads around limited ammo lives etc.
@ Fremsley, No sorry mate, the shack is still out of bounds, since the fire, it's structurally unsound, although we are planning a work party to pull it down, it wont be done in time for this game.
@ Hanschen, CiA rules work very well so there's no need to differ from them, we'll be generous and say 600 RPL. Medic rules, any team member can medic another player taking, 30 seconds to tie on a bandage, if the player is not mediced within 5 mins of being shot, they bleed out. Dramatic filmsim deaths are encouraged, although sense is required, if the firefight around you is too dramatic for you to be safe, you can stagger out of the imediate danger. Players can drag a wounded player out of immediate danger, with one hand on the wounded, out of the immediate fire fight.
Any other questions please feel free to ask.
I got a question, Hanschen, how do you get that umlaut over your a ?
Ok rules seem good, now there is a secret button on the keyboard but don`t ask me what it is (I will find out for you though as the Frau is German and it is a Microsoft thing) I just type itin German on Google and then copy and paste into my profile so it is always there!!
Jimbo, I used up one hell of a lot of dubin on my boots, so much so, thats I have run out lol.

Try using the key combination of Alt+0228 (hold down the Alt key the type 0228 on the numeric keypad then release the Alt key.
ä = Alt+0228
ë = Alt+0235
ü = Alt+0252
Ensure Num Lock is on, or else it may end your internet session. (This kept happening to me when I tried typing ö !) And you don't need the leading zeroes on the numbers.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

Nice one Pimms. Now that was fun - esp the final assault in the dark woods (yes I am aware that that statement sounds very wrong)!
I'm a hero with coward's legs.
Word of advice, stay away from the trenches, last time I was on site the Dark wood bunker was more like the Dark wood pond!
Confirmed no MG42, but on a happier note my mp40 now has a 330 spring an Ak hop unit, and a 300 round mag

Oh fudge! No capping Jimbo whilst he reloads!

Really looking forward to this game.
Jimbo, want a hand at lunch time with all the food and stuff like last time?

Directions to the site at Worthing, anyone travelling that wants my mobile number please PM me
It's a woodland site so it doesnt have a post code per say but it's roughly BN13 3UB
Head down to the south coast to the A27. If you're coming from an easterly direction, head towards Worthing untill you're on the A27 then head towards Arundel. As you leave the outskirts of Worthing the A27 goes into dual carriageway. Go along short stretch then take the next major turn off (A280) and double back on yourself. as you leave the slip road, there's a roadsign (Worthing 5 miles, Brighton 16) a further 300 yards, then a sort of layby then a sharp turning left onto the site. There's normally yellow tape showing.
If you're coming from the west, head to Arundel then go along A27 and on towards Worthing, appox 5 miles outside Arundel is a major turn off which goes towards London and the A24 /A280 junction go past this and 300 yds past the slip road is the entrance.
Hope this makes some kind of sense.

that's actually the coach and horses across the road and further down, we are on the north side of the main road as directed above.
Quote from B&H "It's a very discreet entrance. It's the one which you will invariably drive past, thinking "it can't be that one"."
If you do go past you will have the opportunity to turn around and turn again for a second attempt, and give way too much indicator notice, the b#stards behind you never believe you're going to turn off!

Yep, a more than fair description, it is literally ajust an access 'dirt track' just wide enough for a car. having only been for a summer game, it looked a bit overgrown as well (which helped hide it!).
Be aware that the site is bare of all facilities, no power, no water other than what we bring with us, latrines? whan I asked about those I was told "there is a shovel". Hot Food thankfully is provided from a camp kitchen, so pack/plan accordingly (and prove that those mess kits are not just for show ).
To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"
Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.
Resistance is fertile
Who are you calling camp? Luvvie
Note, no power, it's in the woods, I'll bring a gennie. No water, apart from the 25 litre container of fresh water I bring to every game. You are right about the shovel, but there is a nice piece of timber bolted between two trees, and if you need it and its winter so nothing is overgrown, I'll even lend you a tarp so you can set up a modesty screen
The game scenario has been written for this and it's not your normal attack and defend type game, nor is it a rolling assault. You guys will have to keep your wits about you as this will be a multi objective game. You will need to get supplies back to your base and defend it, whilst sending out troops to get more objectives.
Silly question but I have not been to an event where CIA rules are being used.
Medic bandages. Do we need to bring them?
Ammo limits? Pistol and Aeg`s
I guess all will be revealed on a briefing before the off and what time do we need to be there and what time are the gates open to get set up?
Sorry if these seem odd questions but also asking on behalf of another German kamarad.
