Many of you probably dont look at the non airsoft events section so i'll put a word in here.
We're going to the Crich reenactment show on the 8th and 9th of August and while we have a cracking turnout we coudl do with just one or two more guys to allow us to field a hq and full section.
So if you've not tried one of these shows before then Crich is an ideal one to try.
Its a very friendly show, we can help those without all the kit (and you dont need much more than you do for skirmishing if any) get the extra bits together.
Look at it as camping out in kit with no mods cons but plenty of tea and banter.
So its one or two days (your choice) at a fantasic retro village in derbyshire, cheap beer, very cheap food, good company and a chance to pick up some new kit at one of the many great stalls. (nige and i got new MKII helmets fro a fiver each last time)
We'll have some huge tents up, a brew on, and if you feel like it you can even get stuck in with the display.... the only downside is we do require you to have AFRA PLI or similar *but* to be honest its a good thing to have and most of you have it as CiA members anyway.
Any takers?

i would just like to add, the one we did in april was so much fun it should have been illegal.
myself and Poppy might pop down for a day, but only as MOP's, and i doubt i'll be in kit.
its only about 3 weeks away, so it might be a good idea to post up a kit list and guide picks, just so everyone knows what to have and what not to bother with. i have 2 spare lightwieght ressi cases if anyone needs to borrow one.
It's 5 weeks away.
if a ressi cases are respirator cases then that is a piece of kit I don't have so would be appreciative if I could borrow.
I can give you a respirator case. It has no belt clips so you will need to find those. It does have shoulder strap so can be used.
i have one like that, easily cured with a wire coathanger.
does everyone have a walking out /best belt?
What's that? is it an unblancoed webbing belt (I say with crossed fingers )

Damn good question. It is a webbing belt wth the brasses polished. The kit guide does not say if it should be blancoed and there is some variation in the unit. We need a entry on part one orders from our OC whether it should be blancoed and which shade!
we go with blancoed, it has to match the gaiters, but yes, a spare belt to wear when in bd's at the boozer and chippy.
crap. I have a spare belt, but I didn't 'send it to Yith'.
That means I will have to undo my webbing then? Yes?
No, I have a spare best belt you can borrow.
The rule for best belts is that they match the gaiters, simple. Ideally everyones should be blancoed for crich.
or you can blanco it at crich.
yup that is also possible.
Well I'm not blanco-ing any of my kit
lol...
