Who is interested in a South Staffords photoshoot in chesterfield?

Their is a small church close to my house. The stonework is very similar to the exterior stone work on the Oosterbeek Lag Church, whitch overlooks the Rhine, though other than that they it looks nothing like it. the other big bonus on this location is that it is surrounded by heigh hedges, so they wont need much work to get all modern stuff out of the pictures.

The church yard is a mix of overgrown, as well trimmed, and I think I can sort for a "Group" posing photo on the lawn of the vicarage.

The Church date's from the turn of the C19/C20, and the Vickarge isnt much younger. So other than little bits like ariels and spotlights, are period.

Other than that, who is interested in the same at Hardwick hall? For those of you that dont know, this was the training area and HQ for 1st Airborne Corps.

If we're out in public with the guns then we'll need to talk to the police and also the owners of the church.

Dependant on date I'd be up for this.

I can bring a No.4, Sten, Bren and PIAT, if Barrie and Anne join in I believe they've got a No.4 each and a Bren so we'd be well sorted for weapons. :D

Yeah I think that is about right. Not to mention De-acts and captured weapons. I was thinking about a Sat or sunday PM, give the chursch go'ers enough time to dissipate.

As far as I remember as long as you notify the controll room then its ok, as for permission, if their is enough interest then I'll talk to the Vicker. I think I can get Baldrick interested, as well as a guy that Yith has met.

Dependant on date I'd be up for this.

Sweet. That means we are fast getting decent numbers of correct weapons.

Can we suggest that this is tagged onto another event, for example on the Saturday afternoon before a Sunday game.

It's a three and a half hour drive for us.

Alternatively of course, you can leave us out, we won't take offence.

If it was before or around the OP Varsity game I would be happy to be involved if required.

Yith, I was thinking of a few posed shots of us in small groups, like the GPR advancing through the ruins of the school, and stalking along the outside of the church, so not much call for props.

Who would be up for a big unit photo, with ruperts sat at the front and OR's stood in lines?

We coudl do that but i see Yiths point, airborne racing for a drop basket or hauling one back in to cover under fire would look awesome

equally a period bivvy would look good.

We need to get new chinstraps sorted before this.

gary Bainbridge has got me the blueprints to cut them out of leather, just need a skilled leatherworker now ?
