Attached is a pdf of another template of the insignia backing. The original of this (actually a card cutout) was given to me by a re-enactor who I beleive got the shape from an original insignia block... so it should be spot on...
As with Ramsey's it needs to have hems around the edges.
If you've already made your insignia up then don't worry about swapping over unless you really want to!
(Having just printed the pdf out, the template came out slightly smaller than the original. The base should be 2 1/2 inches and the sides 3 3/4 inches.)
Hi All
I have done my sewing so I now have a walking out impression. I need to finish blancoing my small pack before I do photo's of my field loadout.
Very smart indeed! Well done!
Good stuff, one i've got my financial crisis sorted i'll look into doing mine.
Where's the BD from btw?
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
Hi Gadge
BD is Warhouse. Good if you can stand the wait.
yeah... looks lovely...
Warhorse, Dickie Knight or Pegasus seem to be the best!
I think mine are warhorse, seems to be the general opinion, got them off ebay for £85 buy it now!
Unfortunately apart from a repro manufacturers sizing label there is no 'real' manu label.

Hi Gadge
Mine only have the repro size labels. A correct but embarassing Size 27. There is no marking from Warhorse on them.
makes it even more likely then.
Many folk think they look like originals but they are too new and tidy.
If they were sof they usually have 1944airborne.com stmaped in
so im pretty sure they are warhorse now.

My BD trousers, which I am sure are SOF have no markings. Not sure about my SOF BD blouse
My Dickie Knight stuff is marked as his with a stamp. I've forgotten what it says.
