Some issues that have been asked of me recently I would like to get consensus on.
1. Knife kills - this was brought up re Wotan. I've always thought knife kills were cool and would like to bring it in officially. Having had a team member scratched in the face (by a knife wielding Bollogs at F&O) clearly safety is an issue. Proposed rules for discussion:
a. Only flexible rubber knives may be brought into play and must be visually inspected and approved by CiA before game.
b. Approved knives must be used in a non-threatening manner and must not be brought near the face or neck nor touch the player physically.
c. A 'knife kill' is a stealthy kill and is achieved by standing by the opposing player and either touching the player on the shoulder with the free non-knife bearing hand and saying the words 'knife kill'. As such any player can make a 'knife kill' whether carrying a knife or not.
Second question is single shot gas rifles which was brought in relation to D-Day. Player was worried his K98 is giving more than 500 fps (but less than 600fps). When I crono'd mine the other day and it was doing 550 - 590 and Orky had been using it at Churchill's and I have been using it at F&O!
Given the variability of gas guns do you think this will be an issue at D-Day? I said to the chap that asked the question that given the location & distances as long as he was sensible all should be OK, in any case chances are that in Nov the fps would be quite a bit lower. Your thought gents?

Knife kills
Not up to us to decide, its up to the site operator as to whether he will allow it or not (his insurance, after all) If he *does* allow it, then a simple tap on the shoulder with it will suffice - definitely no throat cutting! - accompanied, as you said, with "knife kill"
Gas K98's.
Don't think there will be too much of a problem in November in south wales, next to the sea. BUT, if people are getting over 500 on Green, then the solution is simple. Use a different gas! - say, Predator for example. Oh, plus, on the G-spec K98's, just screw in one of the gas route restrictors, instant FPS drop.

Righto. Not sure how a site can object as a rubber knife is much less dangerous than an AEG but anyway part of my point with knife kills is that you don't even need a knife - kudos to those that can achieve it. A very close 'bang' kill as it were.
Kermit - could you drop Hopeless a PM on how to adjust the K98 'cos I don't know!
