It's more the size I'm referring to. If its just a metre long with about a 50mm diameter it'll pass as a two inch mortar, If it's much larger, it won't

The spike will be hidden.

Spike will be in the ground, I rekon it's about that size, maybe about 60-70cm in length, diameter of a thermobaric.

Yeah, then it's a light mortar like the British 2" or German 50mm.

German one:

No need for an A-frame. :)

My dad says he should be able to liberate a couple of 50M rolls of wire today. No idea on the thickness but can't complain if its free.

I was just wondering if any progress had been made in terms of the radio and the ammo tubes for the mortar?

I'm just recording the radio message now, and Webby has some ammo tubes.

turret just needs painting and it's done, I have reenforced the front with rubber padding so rounds shouldn't just go straight through it.

Mortar Tubes are just 30cm long pieces of cardboard tube painted

Ok, great. I was just going to suggest pringles tubes anyway.

I've got some wire but its a little thinner than I expected, only about 1mm. Probably not safe to lay out in single strands as it won't be easily visible but mounted across an X-X frame it would be ok.

We'll be mounting all the wire to X frames before the event so they will be easier to collect up. We also ordered some wire to be safe which I hope will be here in time.
