I can't get the suspenders off my rifle belt, problem being the felt pads are sown on to them...will that be acceptable? Incidentally if my Mae West arrives by the the 12th I'll be bringing it, it's already been in the post a week.

Alex

Which brings me to a point, the washing up gloves that US players do love walking around in, I assume we should be benevolent and let them wear them?

Feld pads go underneath the suspenders straps on paratrooper loadouts.

fine with me.

Suspenders would be a 'tut, but OK', but felt pads should be a 'oh no sir'... How does he mean can't get them off his belt?

And OK, so we should politely say no marigolds people, if you want to wear gloves any brown/green/khaki ones are acceptable.

Yeah, if they turn up with them, we can tell them to leave them in the car.

As for his suspenders, you can wear them if you aren't wearing your haversack, but not with the paratrooper felt pads, looking at the pics of the paras used in dragoon, they dont have them either! ;)

Best way for hi would be just to wear a belt... no suspenders or pack at all!

I can already hear him whingeing at the Musette pack I'll be wearing... ffs, I'm an officer! lol.

yes, that would be the best way. Wearing the suspenders is one of things I 'wince' at, unless you are an officer, or a Sgt.

See, this is how you force people to learn about History.. he he
