Other than firing for effect props, we've got a list of the following.
Do we need them, or can't we do without....
Mine Flags
For the cautious mine clearing scenarios
Radios will allow organisers to communicate with eachother rather than showing black radios in pockets
US BC-1000 radio - currently being made by me.
US Handie Talkie radio
German Radio. - I have no idea what these are or what they look like
German Field Radio. - I have no idea what these are or what they look like
Tank Traps
Remove the tank traps blocking the path to allow vehicles through (whether it be an actual vehicle, or "allow the following imaginary convoy through")
Barrels
For Fuel collecting / moving operations
Ammo tins
For ammo /resupply operations. Yith mentioned it might be a good idea to have sweets/drinks in them like at Arnhem .... food and drink to be got from Macro/Costco... anyone got a card? I think my mum has a costco one
Any more for any more?
I have a Makro card
That looks like a good list. What sort of AT obsticals would be best? Maybe a barbed wire wire barrier? One with 2 X shaped ends and a cross piece with the wire stretched in between (like this; X--X) It would cover a large gap and be easier to move.
What about;
Jerry Cans
Would be useful- for any refueling scenario and can be filled with water to keep everyone hydrated.
Sandbags
For making defensive positions.
Poles and camo netting
To make covers for ammo dumps or command posts?
I'll have to do some more research into German radios as I don't know much. Nothing I've seen looks very portable.
nice idea about the cammo, perhaps we should make it so one team has to cut open a barbed wire fence to pass through a certain area.
Maybe. That could be included in an assualt perhaps? The attackers have to cut a hole in the barbed wire under fire in order to advance.
Yeah, or to encourage people down a certain route, rather than allowing encirclement,... mind you, you wouldnt want to make a bottleneck
Forcing it is wrong. Having and area which 'barbed wired' is nice, if it can be done, but its effects should be organic - i.e. if you choose to attack from there then you will be slowed down by barbed wire, and the area could be covered by fewer troops effectively.
It would take a lot of regular wire to simulate the effect. Though not impossible.
You have to keep the same area wired for the whole game though, as moving it between scenarios is tricky.
You could use the wire to make a bottle neck as thats what it was designed to do. Its just that the troops should have the option to cut it and attack a weaker spot as craig says rather than sun the risk of enemy fire.

Yes I think it would have to be a permenant defensive position an so would have to not be in the way.
Anything really major in re-structuring the site is probably best left to the site owner to do off his own volition and for us to use.
A small bit of wire blocking a road would be fine. A major barbed wire obstacle is too much. We have to set stuff up AND take it down again.
I don't evisage a major entanglement, just a simple section of 2 or 3 wirse strung between posts in the ground. The key will be were to site it to make it do its job without having to be huge in length. It would be nice to have permenant stucture to work around but the nature of the site and way it is run makes it very unlikely.
Well each of the ammo/supply dumps that we are considering putting in some of the scenarios can be fixed in location. So having approaches to them barbed up might work. I think leave the resin mines to blocking off the roads is the way forward.
