Craig has a point - I've opened up the bookings but haven't detailed what the game style is, and chaps might be making it up their heads (like they do).

So, FWIW, here is my thoughts following on from previous discussions.

Russians are an encamped assault group but we have a hard core of scouts - a la The Star. These with be sneaky beaky chaps who will have a hard time (the equiv of what the Jeds hardcore last time) but only because they have signed up to this tougher group. Otherwise the rest are just a regular group like we always do.

Likewise the Germans can have a hard core group too with similar independent game plan.

I know Guy is working on a game plan but opening up the bookings has brought this to a head - what are the players signing up to!

Yep, makes sense and what you've written in reply hits the mark.

Pretty much what I had in my head too. By the way, I'd like to take charge of the "sneaky" Russian group for this one!

Ah, I was going suggest that is we do have a 'hard core' element that they work independent of the organisers - that is to say, task them and let 'em get on with it. Whether they succeed or fail is immaterial, it is the experience that matters! Keep up lot to running the 'main' game and keeping things moving and on track!

Well, I was hoping to get more involved myself than I did at Jedburgh, where I spent most of it sitting in the SAS base! With the relatively low numbers per side, I think a "sneaky" group would benefit from an organiser being with them, especially a sneaky bugger like myself!
