I have been, albeit very slowly, getting Frenchy stuff.
The basic look of Peninsular French Infantry can be put together with a Swiss Greatcoat (now unfortunately getting rarer) and a pair of cotton decorators overalls. Worn over plain leather boots wrapped in rags and with a bandanna or straw hat you have a very ram-shackled look, but not an incorrect one.
I am looking into Shakos.
