What is the difference between a canteen like this:

And a real ww2 one? Is it just the fact that that^ one has paint on it?

The main difference is in the caps. See half way down here http://www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/php/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=5289&p=199847#p199847 for a comparison. Otherwise they are pretty much the same. You get both painted and unpainted wartime examples too.

Comrade, The Soviet Union only changed things as needed.... it must have been Broken, as they fixed it.... .
