This July will mark the first Stalingrad event, Gumrak Flugplatz at Yatesbury Airsoft, and it WILL be the game of the year! (Based off how epic Fall of Berlin was.)

Missing this one will leave a mark on your soul for sure! 😱

Not only will it be the ferocious Soviet team, attacking in waves to the "Urahhh", but will obviously expose Frontline Events players to more Urban fighting!

Further to that it will be the first event we are running with much more rigid kit guidlines! Soviet Sailors, Soldiers V the German Heer and Luftwaffe Ground troops in the city! We will be actively encouraging players to ditch full face masks in favour of the clear eye pro!

We want to see what you've got! Help us boose our community and make the battles even more brutal!

Good news.

As per the recent poll in the Frontline Events - WW2 Community group. We will be including the Signaller Roll for both the Soviets and Germans in the Stalingrad 1 and all other Stalingrad games there after.

Your Role will be to move with combat troops on the front line, laying down a vital telephone network between the Objective and the HQ. When the Objective is taken, phone back to the HQ in order to secure the objective and move the HQ forward! You will work as a pair, one man carrying the reel, the other with the field phone. You will both be armed as riflemen. Soldiers first! Signaller second.

All you need to do is let us know when you boo on if you want to be a Signaller.

We stumbled accross the original OKW maps of Stalingrad.

These will be used in our stalingrad series of event to help you relate to where the battles are taking place.

Just for reference, Point 106 is the Barrikady Gun Factory, a tug of war battle that raged from November 1942 to February 1943.

Never a night off at Frontline Events HQ.

All 28 sectors of Stalingrad are added, exactly where they should be, to the map. Each one must be fought over and conquered. Each one a seperate game.

German Field Telephones for Stalingrad 1 - Gumrak Flugplatz have taken shape.

Yes we know these are not original feldfernsprecher 33 (FF33) telephones, and nor would we want to trash a pair of originals, thats why these British Linesman 1705 and 704 will do just fine.

Custom made leather straps, painted (fakelite) Brown and lacquered for a bit of protection.

So excited for Stalingrad!

The build up to Stalingrad continues!
We have, again, tried to tailor and refine the sound effects for the event. It sounds great!
Here is a 1 hour ASMR track for your twisted enjoyment!
Close your eyes, imagine yourself as a sniper in the ruins of the Dzerzhinskiy Tractor Factory, stalking your prey.
Avoid the HE111 bombings and Stuka strafing runs accross the twisted ruins.
Hear the German propaganda messages to the local militia and soldiers trapped in the concrete maze of rubble on the banks of the Volga.

The work continues.

Soviet "ID Tags" (leave tokens) for the snipers to collect have been finished, now we will add the leather lace.

We understand that these are not Soviet "ID discs", however, for the purposes of giving the German snipers something to collect, this is deffinately it!

Soviets remember - Collect these from dead snipers to claim your confirmed kills!

The latest edition in the Stalingrad build up!

10 German ID Discs for the snipers gameplay.

This is fashioned after an original found in Northern Volgagrad, 2007.

9. / J. R. 576 24 = 9th Company, Jager Regiment 576, 24th Panzer Division. The 24th Panzer Division was destroyed at Stalingrad in late December 1942.

Sniper profiles are complete, as are the tokens to confirm the kills at all Stalingrad events!

When snipers on opposite teams are deployed, they will be in a head to head competition with eachother, a mini game within the larger battle!

Each sniper deploying will be given a Dog Tag (German/Soviet depending on your uniform) and you will deploy. When you kill an oppossing sniper with your sniper rifle or booby trap you MUST retrieve his or her dog tags for a confirmed kill!

The confirmed kills will be tallied up and added to a personal score sheet! (Shown Below)

Let the competition commence.

Snipers, we salute you!

Platoon Signallers, step forward!

Field phones are completed!

Literally cant wait to see these being used in game!

The Wehrmacht's 113th Signal Battalion, part of the 113th Infantry Division, was annihilated in Stalingrad. I was later reformed in France, 1943.

The Soviet's 139th Battalion Signals was part of the 13th Guards Rifle Division. It entered the Battle of Stalingrad in mid-September, in which it distinguished itself during several months of urban combat in the city center and at Mamayev Kurgan.

With the recent change in dates and sites comes other minor changes!

"24. August 1942,
I. Platoon attempted and attack from the East this morning. I. Platoon withdrew after taking heavy losses. Gumrak is well defended against infantry. The Soviets have many hasty defensive positions around the airfield.

III. Platoon tonight will do a Recce of the airfield.

Tomorrow, I. & III. Platoons will form a cordon around Gumrak to the South West, II. Platoon will approach and assault from the South West.

Our primary focus is to DENY the Soviets any use of the AA Emplacements and surrounding trenches at #5. Secondly is to DESTROY the Soviet HQ located at the barracks, positioned at #8.

Once our mission is accomplished, the Regiment can secure the entire area and we can begin flying in provisions.

As we have seen since 1941. The Soviets are not like the French. This will not be easy!

Leutnant Mosele"

You saw Lieutant Mosele's diary for taking Gumrak Flugplatz.

Now lets put that into perspective, the big picture.

In the centre, is Gumrak, marked by the Flieger symbol. The Soviets are marked as a defensive symbol.

You can see 577.Inf.Bat. to the North of Gumrak with two Companies up front for defense. To the East there is a faded rubbed out line from I.I.577's (1 Platoon, I Company) attack the day before. II.577 (I company) is now spread along the road to the South East of Gumrak providing a cordon.

You can clearly see Lieutnant Mosele's II.I.577 (II platoon, I Company) Axis of Advance to attack Gumrak from the South East.

Why does Gumrak need to be secured? Its one of seven airfeilds around Stalingrad. This one being the closest. Medical supplies and evacuations can be performed by the Luftwaffe, as well as huge ammounts of supplies to keep the 6th Armee fueled and fed at the front.

Thanks to our amazing community abroad!

Daniel De la Fuente, from Germany, has helped us source some original Soviet maps of Stalingrad.

Now begins the task of restoring and trying to get them printed!

Amazing!

Edgar Jankauskas's awesome Pulemyot Maxima 1910 machine gun.

🔥💥🔥💥🔥💥🔥💥🔥💥🔥💥🔥💥🔥💥🔥💥🔥💥🔥💥🔥💥

This summer will mark the first Stalingrad airsoft/reenactment ever run by Frontline Events.

It will be the most realistic yet! All new sound effects, strict uniform requirements (Huge thank you to the community for leaning into this), close quarter fighting with bolt action rifles, grenades and rubber knifes!

Also featuring new roles like the signaller and a whole new sniper metagame within the battle will make it feel like no other game in the UK!

The new sniper metagame will lock snipers head to head in deadly duals! Collects the dog tags to confirm the kills!

Signallers will have to place out dedicated phone lines in order to call through to HQ allowing the battle to advance! A VERY IMPORTANT JOB!

Who will you be?
- Squad Leader?
- Rifleman?
- Machine Gunner?
- Signaller?
- Sniper?
